I will be cheering for the Brits and Zoe. I think she is over 40 or at least 40. Quite an accomplishment. It is a good thing she isn't against the 15 and 16 year olds in singles who could be her daughter.
Why no Harley and Katia? I hope they're not injured or broken up as a pair! I really like them!
Most curious how the Americans will do - can they beat the Canadians - MTM-M. The American bigwigs said the goal was to beat/match the top Canadian team essentially. .
A lot will depend on how the Italians and Peng and Jin do I guess. Ithought the Russians Z and E were coming back from injury too. Is it possible the Americans could place as high as fourth? Though probably unlikely.
Yes, and it's even more frustrating that everybody knew only 3 french pairs had registered. They skated, thought they reached the minima, and some weeks after realized it hasn't count. French Fed asked for a derogation for Euros, which has been refused. At this time it was probably too late to send Hamon/Strekalyn and Mendoza/Kovalev to another competition, and now Strekalyn is injured and for Mendoza/Kovalev we don't know (unfortunately they are often injured too - and often snubbed by French Fed too).
One more topic to add to the French Fed's amateurism trial, after the announcement of a fake GP final in France and - it's still the worst they did IMO - when they forgot to register a speed skating athlete to 2014 Olympics
Harley's foot injury hasn't healed yet, that's all.

Phew that's a relief! Poor Harley though, I hope it heals soon.
In other news I'll be crossing everything for T/M! While I'll enjoy all the pairs, they're my favourites and I want them to have a great competition and get some confidence back
