I'm trying so hard to understand Russian fs events pyramid, but I still can't figure out couple of things:

1. What are the age limits for Russian Junior Championships (Pervenstvo)?
2. If they are no age limits for Russian Junior Championships (Pervenstvo), can (in theory) 5yo win it?
3. The pyramid looks logical:
Seniors (Chempionat) for 14yo+ -> Juniors (Pervenstvo) for ↑???↑ -> Younger Age (Mladshii Vozrast) for 11-13yo, except this:

It just doesn't fit!
There are different systems of quialifying, not only different age limits.

For singles, Men and Ladies.

1. Senior Nationals (Championship). Qualifying to Euro.
Age 14+.
Qualified are: skaters who had GP Events, skaters from JGP Final, skaters who were best at Russian Cup Events (Senior).

2. Junior Nationals (Pervenstvo). Qualifying to JrWorlds.
Age 10+ (in fact 12+) but not elder than Internatonal Juniors.
Qualified are: skaters who had JGP Events and skaters who were best at Russian Cup Events (Junior). May be added skaters who had GP events if they want to qualify to JrWorlds (medalists of previous JrWorlds at most).

Skater may be at Russian Cup Events only as Seniors or Juniors, not both.
So both at SrNats and JrNats may be only skaters, who:
a) are JGP Finalists,
b) had GP Events and qualified to JrNtas by Junior Russian Cup Events (rarely) or had JGP Events and qualified to SrNats by Senior Russian Cup Events (more often),
c) had GP Events and good results of previous JrWorlds (medal of close to medal) and want to qualify to JrWorlds.

3. Nationals Younger age (Zhuk Memorial).
Younger age - 10 or younger.
Elder Age - 11-12 years old.
Skaters are qualified by Zonal Competitions (like Sectionals in USA) in zones:
Moscow
StPetersburg
Siberia and Far East
Ural and near-Volga
Center of European Part.

4. Nationals Elder age.
Age - 11-17 years old (two years younger than International Juniors).
Skaters are qualified by Zonal Competitions in zones:
Moscow
StPetersburg
Siberia and Far East
Ural and near-Volga
Center of European Part.
(same as Younger Age)

This system (quotas for Zones) gives chance for skaters of "province" to take place in national competitions.
Best coaches may be interested in talented skaters from far regions, so such skaters have a chance to go to best coaches. For example, Tuktamysheva and Lipnitskaia.

Also there is Final of Russian Cup (both Senior and Junior).
In fact it is competiton at which Federation looks to skaters who may pretend to National Team Russia but had not extremely high results at above-mentioned competitions.
Also result of Final of Russian Cup may influence to team of World Championships.

Also there is Winter Spartakiad (in many winter sports - hockey, skiing, speed skating, freestyle etc and also figure skating), at yeare with odd number (i.e. 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015 etc).
It is something like "Junior Russian Olympiad".

On results of these (above-mentioned) competitions athlete may be included in National Team. International results are also concerned of course.
Many competitions - many info for Federation to form National Team for next season and to fill JGP Events spots next season.

Today isn't the best day for Gubanova. To praise too much sometimes is bad too :) Only 3rd in FS, but won by final results. Congrats, Nastya!

Boys also had an interesting competition. Semenenko is just 11 y.o., but he already has great 3A in FS. And today he successfully landed this again. Gumennik and Skirda also very promising skaters, and at the moment they're better that Evgeni in other aspects.

If Gubanova survives through growth, she could be a big star internationally. Her style is very "Western palate" friendly.

I'm sure these scores are inflated, but wow! Even if you shave off ~30 points, they could still beat plenty of seniors. There are some incredibly talented boys in the 11-12 year old group.

Ah, ok...that makes a bit more sense. What do they have to do for "elements"?

Georgi is a new one for me, but so interesting! I wonder how much of their flexibility these boys can retain as teenagers, though...

Could you provide a source to this? Link maybe?
Thank you in advance.
It is not so simple.

National sports qualification http://www.minsport.gov.ru/sport/figyrnoekatanienakonkax15-18gg.xls or http://fsrussia.ru/files/docs/evsk1518.pdf tells that "master of sports" (Senior) may be given from age 12, "candidate to master of sports" (Junior) - from age 10.
It is age limit to take place in Senior and Junior competitions.
There are two age limits for "candidate to master of sports" - 13-19 years old (Juniors), and 10-15 years old (boys, girls). In both may be given Junor grade.

Other document http://fsrussia.ru/files/docs/pologhenie_comp1415_upd_pr2.pdf tells that in Russian Cup Events and Senior national championships may take place skaters not younger than 14 years old (in Events of Russian Cup - all skaters, in Championships - limited age only for single skating). No age limits for Juniors in this document, so only limits of the National sports qualification are actual.

Then what about ↓this↓?
Web page of Russian Junior Championship (Pervenstvo) - http://www.fskate.ru/info/competitions/5/ :
"О турнире: Турнир является юниорским чемпионатом России. В соревнованиях принимают участие юниоры, а также более младшие категории фигуристов - нижней границы возраста нет."

"Tournament info: Tournament is a junior championship of Russia. Competition may be attended by juniors as well as other younger skaters categories - there is no minimum age limit."

I think if they had someone really talented and wanted the skater to compete, they would ensure that the skater can compete no matter what his/her age is. Like last year when they said that senior nationals minimum age is 14 years old, so it looked that only Medvedeva can participate whereas Sotskova, Proklova and Sakhanovich can't. (because internationally skating season is from 1.7. till 30.6, whereas Russian Federation operates on calendar year from 1.1. till 31.12).And then a few days before nationals they were granted exception and were allowed to compete anyway. So what it demonstrates - it doesn't really matter what minimum age is for the championships - if you are good and they really want you there, you will be there.

Web page of Russian Junior Championship (Pervenstvo) - http://www.fskate.ru/info/competitions/5/ :
Author of this site is not always absolutely correct.

In fact:
SrNats at season 2012/2013 and earlier had age limit 12.
From season 2013/2014 - age limit 14.
But Federation may by individual solution allow younger skaters. At January 2008 Tukamysheva being 11 took place in SpNats (because she was very talented and level of Senor Ladies was too low).
At December 2013 13-years-old Proklova and Sakhanovich were at SrNats, because they were JGP Finalists.

JrNats - in fact almost always age 12+ (but not elder than International Juniors), rarely 10+, newer younger than 10.

Of 5 competitions - SrNats, JrNats, Final of Russian Cup, Nats Younger Age, Nats Elder Age - no staters/coules take place in more than three (more often - omly two).
For example, Radionova at 2010 qualified to three - JrNats, Younger Age, Elder Age, but competed only at JrNats and Younger Age.
