Canadian ice dancers Élisabeth Paradis & François-Xavier Ouellette are shooting for more precision and maturity for the 2015-16 figure skating season. [More]

Paradis and Ouellette, both 23, participated at the Quebec Summer Championships last month, and are scheduled to compete next week at the 2015 U.S. International Figure Skating Classic in Salt Lake City, Utah. They then will compete at Skate Canada later next month.

Yes indeed! I saw them in the GP events last year but knew nothing about them until this article. But someone tell me what on earth an ice bite is!

Here is one explanation: "Lace bite" can affect anyone who laces up a pair of skates. Clinically termed an aggravation of the extensor hallucis longus tendon (i.e., the tendon that attaches the muscle running down your lower leg to your big toe), lace bite causes a sharp painful sensation throughout the foot.
