I enjoyed seeing the gymnasts from some of the smaller countries pick up some well-deserved and, in some cases, surprise medals. The reaction of the Brazilian men was really cute. Simone winning was also great, of course, but hardly unexpected. It was also very nice to see a Mexican diver win silver in the 10m platform event (and Chen Aisen's incredible diving...wow!). And thank goodness for the BBC because if I had been stuck watching NBC's execrable coverage, I would hardly have known there were any countries besides the USA at the games. :disapp:

Me too! While I certainly was thrilled with the Final Five's success, I just loved seeing Sanne win gold! I had never seen her before and I just loved her beam routine, all three versions she did in preliminaries, team and event finals!
