The jumps they're doing are a variation of a dance move called a saute'. A jump that takes off and lands on the same foot. Our teacher made the boys do them with dumbbells in our hands. This series of videos is one of my all time favorites and I've been around since Plushy was baby himself. LRK.....You've made my day a LOT happier...... :cheer2:

We used to have to do those as part of our warmup too. I hated those back then and I still do. I'd have a cookie for all the little ones after having to do those. I fell and hit my head trying one of those when I was very young and all my Father did was laugh......I guess it made me tough.

These videos make me happy.....The memories they bring back tug at my heart. I love watching the teachers as they motivate their young students. The little ones may not know how to express it yet but, if they're like me, they will remember these moments for the rest of their lives......

How old is Plushy now? I can't believe he still those incredible blade skills, and he moves better than most of the professional dancers I worked with during my career. Those students are beyond blessed to be in his academy.

He will be 35 in november. And probably you don't know his haters always mentioned his weak skating skills he is only a jumper he lacks of artistry..etc. ( the skating skills are panacea for those haters who want to diminish any skater. Not too many people know what are those things..) I never understood are they blind?For many people in the world he is an artist on ice, he has own style powerful but very expressive. He is fast, he turns so easy, his edgework is fast..And rarely falls in any elements!!! One thing is true he has not too deep edges in his programs . But when he learned to skate that wasn't so important as today and his skating is clean always.

We used those leg lifts only without the cushion under our hips. They're like torture....However, when they get older and still look good in their jeans, they'll be thankful

These clips have sustained many fans over the offseason and I just LOVE THEM!!!!!!! :cheer2:
