In another thread, people are chatting about their favorites and how they come from around the world.

So who is on your top 10 list this season? They must be currently competing. And how do they range geographically?

Here's my list:

Ladies

Papadakis/Cizeron

People who were cut from list due to length: Gabby Daleman, Virtue/Moir, Yu/Zhang, Peng/Jin, Polina Tsurskaya (who I cut because she's a junior and I had to make this list smaller SOMEHOW). Scimeca/Knierem barely made the cut over V/M....but the sob story of all they've been through this season made me put them on the list, especially since V/M get enough love anyway.

Also juniors are cool for your lists. Heck if you have a novice skater you like, throw them in!

This was hard, even without including ice dance, where I have no favorites. Honorable mention to Daniel Samohin, Alisa Fedichkina, Polina Tsurskaya, Andrew Torgashev, Misha Ge, Moris K., Tarasova/Morozov, etc. Probably shouldn't include Georgi since he never got to compete internationally, but I adore his skating.

Based mostly on whose programs I really love this season, so difficult to narrow down. Pairs especially has 4 teams I would all love to see on the World podium, where's the U.S. Nationals pewter medal. :(

ETA: If I had room I would've added Virtue/Moir's SD, Jason Brown's FS, and also would put Marin Honda and Deniss Vasiljevs up there, but I'm not sure who I would push off the list for them. But then, I also like Cappellini/Lanotte's FD and Gilles/Poirier. And Boyang Jin's enthusiasm!

... those who barely missed my cut.

Rika Hongo, Mao Asada, Boyang Jin, Misha Ge, Peng / Jin, Savchenko / Massot, Kaliszek / Spodyriev (the only high level skaters that make me proud from my country). Mao is still my favourite skater of all time in ladies but question was mostly about this season ... :( I can't say that I enjoyed watching her struggle but her performances in Japan Nationals were again very enjoyable and with Mao in her artistical prime despite lacking jumps. Sadly Adam's season was cut short too but I become big supporter last season already.

I love many more skater, but these are the ones I'm really emotionally invested in: You know the ones who really make you nervous before they skate, break your heart when do poorly, and make you smile for the next three days when they do really well.

MEN: Patrick Chan, Han Yan

LADIES: Kaetlyn Osmond, Wakaba Higuchi, Carolina Kostner, Zijun Li, Mao Asada. (I swear I like ladies who aren't headcases too! Just not my faves at the moment...oh Yuna, why did you abandon me :drama: ? )

PAIRS: Sui/Han, Seguin/Bilodeau

DANCE: Virtue/Moir, Hawayek/Baker

They are 11, sorry, anyway... CAN-4, CHN-3, JPN-2, ITA-1, USA-1,

Now I'm going to cheat and add some junior ladies, because somehow I always get super attached to them (I have learnt nothing from experience): Marin Honda, Polina Tsurskaya, Yuna Aoki, Eun Soo Lim. (In theory also Vivian Le, but this was not her season)
