Actually, it is selection for olympics and jgp, not national team, though... it must be very big event:cool: already very excited to see my favorites!! Hope I can be there this time... if time allowed.

Ok thanks, I just went literal with what the announcer on the news clip said and got confused, haha.

Literally made an account just to say that I am over the moon Junhwan chose The Planets as his FS, but am already chewing my nails about his SP song choice.:drama: Was never a big fan of the song and it just seems a bit too slow paced, especially after how much I liked his SP this year. Though I do admit that these types of songs that allow him to fully extend and move with the music rather than jumping from move to move with tons of energy seem to fit him more. Either way I am super excited about his new programs and cannot wait to see them on the grand prix series!

Also wanted to say that Eunsoo is looking absolutely AMAZING in those videos Misha posted and I cannot wait for her new programs too. I adore her and she's the main reason I've been paying attention to the ladies discipline again. Hoping for better choreography and music cuts too because while I enjoyed her SP, the FS was a bit...strange in its music cuts to say the least. I'm hoping her team will be working extra hard on skating skills and spins because it's painful to see those lost levels. I can't recall the last time a Korean lady has gotten a StSq4.:palmf:

I'm really rooting for Junhwan, Nahyun, Dabin, and Soyoun to do well in the GP series and hopefully make their way to home Olympics! Dabin has really warmed on me and I think she really deserves to go after she singlehandedly brought ladies 2 spots. By the way, is Yunkyung Kam eligible for a JGP spot or is she too young? Her 2A in her SP was the most impressive 2A I've seen in a long time.

Yes, yunkyung is age-eligible for this season. The same age as young. I love her 2A too. Her presentation and skating is painfully stiff, tbh, but I can't help but be fond of her; the air position on her jumps is A+.

Oh, even more to be excited for next season! I really hope she keeps the entrance into her 2A because I absolutely love it. She has even more of a stoic face than Yelim, but she is charming to me too.

Sorry for the barrage of questions, but does anyone know when the competition for JGP teams will be next month?

Not confirmed yet! Many are expected it to be held on late July, alongside with first oly selection event.

I'm not ready for the JGP qualifications. After Eunsoo scared me with her SP standings last year, I'm gonna die :drama: whilst anticipating the result.

But happily there are fourteen places for the Korean ladies this season.

Totally agree, I can't wait to see debut of Jun Hwan Cha in senior :)
Loved both his short and free last year, lets wait for the team Orser to work their magic :) (for everything, including costume :p)

He will have his costumes designed by one of the top Korean designers who made many Yuna's costumes. Also funny because Brian Orser asked him to design for CJH

You know, I was wondering why she was spending so much time in Canada based on her Instagram.. I guess this is the answer then!
Only Ghislain or her old coach is still listed too? I fear the "Yuna comparison" for her so much if she really moved to CC, but I am also very intrigued by this change. I can't wait to see her junior debut!
And thank you for the useful information as always! I am a Korean skating system's fan and I can't wait to see the skaters bring home the fruits of the Fed's work :)

It's only Briand. And Cha's coach also listed as only Briand, not Orser. Maybe it only shows the coach who will come to Asian trophy with the skaters, not the matter of who is whose main coach? Then that makes sense..

I'm not even shocked, the comparisions obviously will be there tho. I guess just being there/ being part of this team is giving Korean skaters confidence and strength. We need more news, I don't think Briand is only coach for either Jun or Young.
