For the first time ever in the Games' 29-year history, figure skating will be featured in the biennial multi-sport event.

South East Asian (SEA) Games 2017
Figure Skating - Men's & Ladies' Singles

(though they call it the Men's & Women's Individual )
26 - 27 August 2017
Empire City Ice Arena, Selangor, Malaysia

Event Website

“Apart from Singapore and Malaysia, we have been assured of participants from Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines and Cambodia, who are all members of the International Skating Union.”

March 28 2017:
Figure skating isn't listed as one of the 24 sports to be getting live coverage through televised broadcasting and Internet streaming. Delayed broadcast maybe? C'mon, I want to be able to catch skating on my TV aside from the rare US Nats on cable or the Winter Olys every 4 years! :tantrum:

Thanks! Didn't think to check the ISU site.

No problem.

It was actually out of sheer desperation that I went to the ISU site in the hope of finding a link to an Entries / Results Page. But all I could find was the Announcement PDF.

But, please be aware that the ISU's Announcement PDF may not be totally up-to-date. So, times of competitions may actually be different from what I copied.

And thank you so much for letting us know whenever you have come across stories about who is taking part.  :points:

There are some names that I recognise, and am curious to see how they get on. But I am probably more interested in seeing how the skaters from the "smaller countries" in the figure skating world do. It is always nice when a small country breaks through.

Looking forward to hearing how the event goes!

You can watch the competition on vidio.com (Indonesia online broadcast). Maybe it's geo-block, but I don't know yet. I'll let you know, when I have the detail info.

How was the men's SP? I was following the Phillipines stream, but can't tell who is skating and what the score is.

There seemed to be a lot of people. Do they have seats provided or are people just leaning against the railings?
