Congratulations dear Yuzu! You put out the Samurai in you. Thanks for the lovely farewell Chopin. AMAZING! Thank you, God. I'm still too excited to write. It was an unforgettable moment.

the happiest person about this chopin must be yuzu. Last year, he didn't do well with it, and angered himself about it.

His arm movements like feathers! OMG OMG!

Comparing this worlds performance to the last really puts a smile on my face, I'm really proud of him.

I just got back from the arena and I can tell you fellow Yuzu fans, there was no doubt. From the moment he stepped on the ice it was clear he was going to skate clean and and far transcend most of the other performances. Never doubt our boy!!!

i have to say, he's ethereal in real life. and his presence is that of confidence when he's among other skaters. Almost arrogant in a sense. He also a did a triple axel right in front of patrick chan when patrick was waiting for his scores (being that patrick had missed the triple axel made it kind of funny).

He's also really really sparkly and really thin.

WOW that was a new facet of Yuzuru that I hadn’t seen in his programs, a powerful and angry Yuzuru and I love every second. CONGRATS!! for the first place in the short program.

Congrats Yuzu! A good farewell to Chopin...I love this program though :sad21:
It's a good farewell at last :)
OMG OMG OMG THANKS AGAIN YUZU FOR YOUR IMPRESSIVE SKATE AFTER THAT TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF PRESSURE. I'M SO PROUD

Yes I watch it live on my phone lol I was having a meeting and it was getting boring with ppl talk, talk and talk....I was restless and kept on glancing the clock. 5 minute before Yuzu started, I couldn't take it anymore and excuse myself to the toilet, citing stomach problem. I watched it live from an office toilet. Yes. Sounds disgusting (sorry for so much details and sounds unprofessional here...my mind so high now!!). I had to stop myself from screaming everytime he landed that jump. Boy oh boy! I couldn't stop my tears. So happy. I forgot how long I was there. By the time I went back in, they had a short pause and laughed at me for taking so long. I don't care. It was worth it. WORTH IT!!!! Yeah I'm the one who is having the last laugh!! Woooooooo

Thanks Yuzu for brighten my day. Thanks so much!! :yahoo:

Cheers! :ghug:

(having a short break now and i could not stop myself from smiling. my office mates think i'm nuts. little they know, somewhere at the side of the world, there is a young man who just showed us that an alien does exist on earth)
I laughed so hard reading this

Hello from Boston
I was there to see his performance with my own eyes, with my heart on my throat. It was so beautiful. I am so happy for him and for all of us the fans. I sit with many Japanese fans. We are so happy. Now I am back at the hotel, but I can not sleep. So happy.

Match TV stream with Grishin and Tarasova commentary- my translation for those who are still up (because I couldn't go to sleep basically )

Prior to skate:

Tarasova: And here's Yuzuru Hanyu who we can't stop loving because...
Grishin: This guy is phenomenal, what else can you say?
Tarasova: Yes.
Grishin: This guy realized someone could get to him and went more complexed (he means Yuzu went for higher BV). And when he goes clean and he does is quite often...
Tarasova: He's got the right coach. Because he's coaching him too. (She means Yuzu did not master those skills alone).
Grishin: Well I can go on with saying that Fernandez has got the same coach...

And they both go silent for the skate- bless them!

After the skate:

Grishin: Check, mate, knock-out! It is hard to put in words.
Tarasova: The unique, the most gifted among the talented, I've no words. Only admiration.
Grishin: For the third time during the season Hanyu performs the skate of life.
Tarasova: His climbing to the heights, the acquiring (of skills) went on for so many years, he's been wallowing a lot (she likes that phrase, that those who fall would dirt them out, wallow on the ice, don't take her words to heart) and he did not have enough power to do everything that he could put together (the jumps obviously). And now I am simply grateful to him as a coach who's been working for 50 years that I can feel this happiness witnessing this. Seing there is no limit to human perfection. Throughout the years different athletes proved that.
Grishin (after the repeat of 4S): ...and into the spread eagle.
Tarasova: And he's unique. So strong right now and so lightweight, so thin- everything fits for him to rotate.
Grishin (on 4T3T repeat): I caught myself thinking: look at that, here's his combo, he goes Up! I'm saying that I caught myself thinking during the jump elements being the judges- what I would put for those (jumps)? And I realized that I would stick to GOE +3 for every jump element: including Sal and combo even though he had a tiny mistake at landing from first toeloop (quad) before the triple...
Tarasova: Don't you think they do exactly that? Look!
Grishin: They do. It's impossible not to.
Tarasova: They do it by default. By default. Because it's a pure delight- his extended hip (can you believe she appreciates his stretched out HIP after landing that beautiful 3A? Me too, TAT, me too!)
Grishin (on final poze and monster face by Yuzu): Simply the beast.
Tarasova: As if he is holding the air (on his shoulders).
Grishin: Wild Vinnie Pooh.
Tarasova: He's (skating) as if he was in a vacuum all alone (she means like he's up in the space floating, you know, no gravity attached). Of course.
Grishin: There's nothing left to say.
Tarasova: Amazing! Right.
Grishin: So this guy gets a bit lower than his own WR. Into the confident lead.
Tarasova: Maxim comes next.

I'm gonna miss this short program sooo much.
Thank you Yuzu and thank you Jeffrey Buttle and to everyone that contributed to this masterpiece! This is not a short program, this is an experience, a journey. It just takes you out of this world for 3 minutes.

This step seq is INSANE. And I'm so sooo excited about it even though it's the 3476376189 time I watch it. :hap85:
Only after the scream from the end of the program I realized there was such pressure on him. We couldn't feel it and I'm he didn't feel it either while he was flying over the ice. What's before and after is less important, he had 3 minutes in his own world and here it looked better than ever. I don't share the opinion that it was better in GPF or NHK. The 4T3T was better there, there's no doubt, but artistically speaking and taking it as a whole, I consider this the best Ballade performance ever.
Long live the kid!

P.S. Let me praise the 4S once more.

Group hug everyone! :ghug:

Do you think judges could give him a chance for a new WR?

I too saw it live. Absolutely beautiful. I was sitting next to Japanese fans who came to Boston to see him. They didn't know any other skaters—not even Shoma! Just goes to show you how much ppl luv hanyu.

his step sequence never looked this beautiful  I was totally

@Sorrento
Yes I think that he must get more 10 in PCS, so he can get better score total, to beat his own world record, like 112 points for me. But I am not a judge, just a happy fan, a proud mother or great ant.
