I just finished watching the interview with Scott Hamilton and I highly recommend it. Looks like it'll be uploaded to the Scott Hamilton SC Youtube channel on May 2.

Uh-oh, that means Nathan will have to get up at 9 in the morning (at the latest)!!
(phew, one of the few instances where it's a good thing I live in another time zone... although I'm sure a nice fan will upload it afterwards)

Also, as happy as I am to get all this Nathan content, can these people please come up with some entertaining and original questions?? It's the same old questions over and over again, and they weren't even that interesting to begin with (and not just since the pandemic, even before that).
I'm sure Nathan is just as tired of getting asked about Yale and his schoolwork all the time (I also get the sense, that he's somewhat uncomfortable with all the praise and the constant 'hardworking Ivy League student at day/skating champ at night' narrative).

I get that these interviews aren't only meant for die-hard Nathan fans. But I'm sure even general skating fans would also prefer getting to know the funny and more informal side of a skater, instead of getting answers to questions your uncle would ask at a family gathering ("So how's your education going...?"). :rolleye:

(Or just get it over with and employ Kaitlin and Jean-Luc to conduct any interviews from now on ;))

ETA: I do however approve of all questions regarding his hair... I need a weekly update on its status, alright!

I’ve been catching up on the many interviews Nathan has given recently. I thought his answer to the question from Scott Hamilton about what he got from each of his coaches was interesting (around 37-minute mark of the interview): From Stephanie Grosscup, a joy and love for skating; from Karel Kovar (had not heard of him before), the technique that was basis for his double and triple jumps; from Genya, how to train/work hard; from Marina, rest and recovery; and from Raf, the beauty, art and technique of skating, which I thought was interesting since Raf is generally known as a technical coach. From Florent interview (I think), if season goes forward this fall, he wants new programs (he gets bored, if he keeps them too long). He’s going to talk to Shae-Lynn. He didn’t mention any other choreographers. He also is not sure what he is going to do about school (that’s TBD).
