Thank you for the link:) I thought he just returned to Toronto for a week or two to work on his free skate with David Wilson and would stay in Spain in August, for his two shows & summer camp.

Thanks for the explanation! Maybe he still has to work on revising the SP, if he has not already done so? Anyway, it looks like we are probably not going to get much new information about his programs until maybe shows and camps.

Perhaps even all the way until JO :hopelessness: we didn't know anything about Malagueña until COC last year...

IIRC, both Javier and Antonio posted a short clip of some dance movement of Malagueña on instagram when they worked together last summer; perhaps Javi may perform his Malagueña v. 2 in his two shows this month?

Yup, there were pics and videos of Malaguena already in July... Plus a couple of other clips later on...

But it looks very much like he is in Madrid at least this week - two tweets from yesterday:

Having dinner with Carolina Marin at La Alegria: https://twitter.com/javierfernandez/status/761128730047766528

And played maybe badminton (the background looks like it?) with someone in Madrid: https://twitter.com/erlorenzo/status/761142553966211072

It seems that both the rinks that he has been using in recent years in Madrid are closed at the moment - Valdemoro apparently for good since November last year and La Nevera at Majadahonda for summer maintenance for this month. His skating clup in Spain used be that in Valdemoro, but he has had to switch to Club Igloo at Majadahonda for this season (http://www.noroestemadrid.com/2016/...andez-llevara-la-imagen-de-la-region-a-japon/) If he skates - which he probably has to do at least a little bit - he has to do it somewhere else...

Thanks, Honghe, for the congrats on 100 posts. I joined already 10 years ago, but can't remember why and have not been active at all until quite recently

Are you sure la nevera is closed? i mean i know it is closed for the general public, but Sara Hurtado posted this picture there about how refreshing it is to skate on the ice during this hot month https://www.instagram.com/p/BIkgUY8g41p/?taken-by=sarasobrehielo

Well, that's what they said on FB and what it says on their website... At least it's closed for the public, but they could let the big stars on the ice? And the picture could have been taken some time earlier also?

Some lovely soul has posted Javi's solos from Artistry on Ice 2015 (no idea which performances, but at least I had seen very little of either so far):

I didn't know that Javi played badminton. Maybe When they both have time, he could ask Carolina Marin to teach him a move or two;)

I think there were pictures and short clips of Malaguena last summer but Javi never skated it publicly until CoC? The costume was revealed at CoC, too, if I am not mistaken.
There was also very little information about Guys and Dolls last summer.

I believe Javi's shows are not in Madrid this summer? So maybe he knows about the rinks and has planned ahead.

There were a number of short clips from both programs before they were put into competition last year, but, of course, only bits and pieces. I have 3 clips from Guys from August (two with mostly Javier Raya but with Javi's music, and one with almost complete step sequence) and four of Malaguena (2 from July in Madrid and one from August, one from Toronto in October; the beginning, the transition steps in the middle and the end of the step sequence in Malaguena). Compared to that this year is really dry ;)

The first show on August 13 is in Puigcerda in the Pyrenees region in connection with the Urmanov summer camp and the second one on August 19 is in Andorra wher his summer camp is held. I was wondering why the camp was not in Madrid like last year, but I guess there was no proper rink available at that time...

Javi was even mentioned in the coverage of the Rio opening ceremony by CBC/TSN commentators

I’d like to join Dylan in thanking Canadian media for mentioning Javi. They seem to be very nice to him. (Is Javi really treated as an adopted Canadian? Lol)

An interview with Javi’s sister Laura: http://patinajepinkpower.com/showthread.php?tid=613
She seems to be really lovely and level headed. And I quite like her choice of favorite skaters other than Javi. Patrick and Davis/White are among my favorites, too. Ashley is an engaging performer. And there's also a lot to admire about Papadakis/Cizeron and Savchenko/Szolkowy.
I also find it sweet to read that Laura really trusts and appreciates those who work with Javi on a daily basis.

Yeah, I think he's said he does so his throat doesn't bother him with the cold air of the rink or something like that ;)

Clever boy! I only know that lemon makes your mouth produce more saliva, so you don't have a dry throat.

As did the posts. Javi hardcore fans has revealed  Btw. As a Rafael Nadal fan, Javi must be happy that he won Gold with Marc Lopez in tennis doubles yesterday :)
