Canada 2: Les Supremes

USA 1: Haydenettes

For protocols, these are the elements:

B= Block
BSS = Block step sequence
C= Circle
CSS= Circle step sequence
L= Line
I = Intersection
MI= moves in isolation -> Eliminated, New element Cr aka. Creative Element with fixed base value
MF = Moves in the field, fm means figure skating move
W= Wheel
NHSS (now NHE) No Hold step sequence

I agree. Woops and Team Surprise from Sweden is suddenly Sweden's second best team, then Sweden 2. You never know ;) And I really like the creative names :thumbsup:

It happens every now and then that a country creates a national team for worlds with skaters from various teams, therefore it is not always the original 'cast' of an already known team. Guess naming the teams after their countries prevents confusion in these cases.

Yeah I can can see the point in that.. I know in most countries, it is the team who finishes first at their nationals go to worlds so for some teams it won't be a problem but for the bigger countries I suppose it could be problematic. Maybe if each national team can create a name for themselves that could work. If they do it could add so much more character at the event. It will make it feel like a team competition.

It's actually the other way round. The big synchro nations don't have specific national team, club teams are sent to worlds. Usually high ranking teams, like Haydenettes in USA, atract skaters to try out, so those teams will get high level skaters all over the country, but still it is not a national team just build to compete at worlds. Finland, Sweden and Canada don't have national teams either.

But I think some smaller countries may create those kind of teams.
