good score for Rebecca and Kiril, good prospects for Korea Ice Dance
but does Korea allow dual citizenship ?
while Minov is studying in Korea he is still a Russian Citizen

No, Korea doesn't allow dual citizenship :(

This also means that Tim&Kirill would have to give up their US/Russia citizenships in order to compete for Korea in Pyeongchang.

how many years you need to stay in Korea to be a citizen ? Minov is planning on finishing his college in Korea
but Minov is a pure blooded Russian, no drop of Korean blood. Kim grew up EX SSR state but she is Korean descent

I don't think they will grant him citizenship

I had a little chuckle with Yanovskaya/Mozgov's score
they were overscored, step sequence seem slow, wonder what level they got

There are exceptions-if Rebeka/Kirill continues to improve and get good results, Korea could grant Kirill a Korean citizenship.

What happened to Bent/Mackeen? They won in Latvia, but here they are in 6th place?

I heard that if the team does exceptionally well internationally, the Korean government will grant him the citizenship. The problem is, how is Minov going to study in Korea, if he and Rebeka trains in Russia and if he doesn't really speak Korean??

The Parsons look great considering they were out at the end of last season with injury. Did anyone notice they got level 4 on BOTH sequences?! Very cool. And I loved they tried a challenging lift! They did make mistakes elsewhere, hence the lower score. However a great start!

The Wheaton Academy students usually do a good job on getting the levels on pattern dances.

Yet, they don't have much political clout, at least compared to Canton or DSC. But if Parsons + McNamara/Carpenter keep on this positive pattern, perhaps that will change?

Isn't that likely because their home-grown teams have only been competing internationally for a couple years?
