Thank you!! Too bad kanako WD, this used to be her first official competition...
Miki has to compete in Kanto regionals, in order to qualify for Nationals, right??

Even if Marin's score was generous it seems she did pretty good, I just hope she keeps doing well for the next few years. Shoma's SP score is crazy higher than Yamamoto'sm I know Shoma's skating is better but I like Yamamoto's jumps a lot (they seem bigger than Shoma's...). I feel kind of bad for Eriko Yamakuma because it seems like her and her brother are about in the same level but he gets to go to JGPs and she doesn't because of the difference of the depths in the Japanese junior mens and ladies fields. Too bad for Miyu and Yura. I'm looking forward to seeing Moa some day and Kaori's JGP debut! Maybe she'll do a little better than Mihara.

Thanks for the reports.

2 Shoko Ishikawa 44.48
3 Saeko Kura 43.11
7 Fumie Suguri 39.23 2F no combo 3T<(fall) 2A

Suguri will make it to sectionals (top 14 of this competition can qualify) but nationals is out of question. Only 6 from Eastern section, "rivals" include Ando, Imai, Shoji, Nishino.

Higuchi has upped her jump contents. Judging from the score, 3Lz-3T is probably underrotated. Still struggling with the 3Lo.

Consindering this is her "comeback" comeptition in Japan (at her home rink), the judges are really tough on her. In this way, she won't make the Olympic team even if she lands all jumps.

I disagree. 3Lo in SP and 3Lz and 3Lo in FS are clearly UR. Actually, 2Lo of the combo in SP looked UR to me (like at Nebelhorn). It has been reported that she really lacked stamina even in SP.

27 and 51 are REALLY low PCS! Even if I thought that she was a bit overscored in her FS PCS at Nebelhron (it clearly didn't deserve 7s), 51 in a local competition means that the national judges are really not favoring her...

http://www.jsfresults.com/National/2013-2014/fs_e/novice/index.htm

Novice A Ladies FS
1 Wakaba Higuchi 103.52 (TES 58.40)
2 Yuna Aoki 92.17 (TES 51.05)
3 Marin Honda 84.57 (TES 40.03)
4 Saya Suzuki 78.69
5 Yuuna Shiraiwa 75.88
6 Akari Matsubara 75.81

Higuchi 3Lz-3T(+1.26) 3Fe 2A-3T(-1.54) 3Lz 3Lo 3S-2T-2Lo!
Aoki 3Lz-2T 3F 3Lo 3S~2A 3T 2A-2T-2Lo
Marin Honda 3Lz(fall) 1A-3T< 3F-2T-2T< 3Lz*-3T*-2T* 3Lo 3S

Marin did two 3-jump combos and the latter one (3Lz-3T-2T) received no credit. What a shame! Higuchi skated brilliantly with 7 triples including a 3Lz-3T. She might be able to compete with the Russians in next year. Aoki skated mostly clean with five different triples. She is in the first year of novice A (same with Marin).
