On the eve if U.S. Nationals Alissa got a huge front-page story in the sports section of the Detroit Free Press. She discusses her hopes and disappointments this year, and looks toward the future.

Thanks for posting that. It is indeed too bad if she's now getting the triples now. But alas that is how life is. I hope that she does get to end her career on a happy note, whatever that looks like.

Sad article, but interesting that at the end it talks about her possibly still competing. She says she wants to end on her terms, which is a very brave thing to say. I'm glad she is an inspiration to skaters like Jeremy.

I think leaving on her terms is a little late now since she can't even try for the Olympics. Why is it after a skater can't compete tey say their jumps were just going well or improving etc. fairy tales are few.

I highly doubt Czisny just said that her jumps were coming back if it's not true. Also, it makes sense, because the pressure is off now.

She is awesome in the shows, she may not be a headliner anymore but she is still a JOY to watch.

Alissa was on the latest edition of TSL's "This and That" with her good friend Doug Razzano.

I found it difficult to hear Alissa during the interview but she looked very tan and happy.

I've just updated Alissa's OP. I considered a double U.S. national champion and a GPF winner deserved a comprehensive summary of her career. I've added the results table, programs info, personal bests, some biographical links, GS articles and as many videos as I could find. Enjoy :)
