A nice article from Phil Hersh about how Madi and Evan have been dealing with quarantine.

Also, they've done a few Instagram Lives over the past few weeks which I archived on YouTube.

The article also announces that they will be part of the Open Ice event starting tomorrow at 2 PM EDT and they will be hosting an Instagram Live starting at 1:30 EDT on the USFSA Instagram account.

Randomly came across this YT interview from a few days ago with Madi's figure skating club in CA. Twenty minutes long and some good questions and answers!

Re: bringing back the snake dance for next season or the Olympic year, I just don't know. I don't think recycled programs generally work well, and I'm not sure it would have the same magic. I think I'd rather they let this gain mythical status and allow people to imagine it would have won Worlds this season (I am only half joking lol). So my vote is for new programs.

I agree that they shouldn't bring back the snake dance for the Olympic year. As for this season, I'm 50/50 on whether they should keep their programs. It really just depends on whether there's a Grand Prix series and when they can get back on the ice.

Madi and Evan didn't skate during the IAM livestream today, saying that they had a minor injury. They did confirm that they are getting a new program, and since one of the coaches mentioned that all the teams at Gadbois had new free programs, I'm assuming that means that they have a new free dance. However, they mentioned that they were open to performing the Snake Dance again in some capacity.

Now this is speculation, but in one of Jordan's test streams prior to the official livestream, Evan was skating on his own, so it's probable that Madi was the one that got injured. Coupled with the fact that she had surgery not too long ago, it's possible that the return to the ice after so much time off could have led to the injury. They mentioned that they're back to skating now, so hopefully they're okay, and can be back to competing soon.

Madi and Evan kept their rhythm dance from last season, since they were seen rehearsing it during On Ice Perspective's livestream of a Gadbois training session. However, they changed the choreography for the ending, which is what they were rehearsing during the livestream. Here's the link to the livestream: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBYBzcj-1Ss&ab_channel=OnIcePerspectives

Madi and Evan skate at these timestamps: 18:30, 20:30, 24:15, 30:00, and 34:45

Firstly, congrats to Madi and Evan for finishing first in the rhythm dance! If any of you guys missed it, NBC posted the video, and Madi got a new costume. Along with a few choreographic changes at the end, the program feels fresh even though it's recycled.

On a more serious note, Madi and Evan revealed the details of Madi's concussion in July. She fainted after a walk on a hot day while climbing up stairs. Evan caught her, but she bumped her head on a stair, and felt nauseous while attempting to train for the rest of the month. It's good to know that she's better, and it's scary to think such a serious injury could happen from such a mundane activity, and not say, a risky training move.
