Why isn't Ekaterina Mitrofanova in the JGP substitute pool and the junior test skate when Mikhailova is there? Her JGP performance was arguably better than Mikhailova's last year (at least she got 1 podium) and she also placed above Mikhailova in nationals. If Tsurskaya skips JGP due to injury this year, there will be enough spots to go around and if that's the case, would hate to see her deprived of another chance.

Martynova last year was training with Pavlova as Zakroev's new partner. I wonder why they split. Anyway this partnership might be more compatible since the age difference is not so big.

Boikova and Kozlovski have good potential. But if Sasha grows too tall there might be a problem. Well same goes for a few other junior pairs.

.
I noticed Zakroev has been on ice partner search for quite a while. Maybe Martynova didn't enjoy skating under Pavlova?
I am surprised it has been taking so long to find Zakroev a new partner. He was relatively succesful on junior level, so I would expect someone to grab him by now. Daria Beklemisheva is on ice partner search. She was skating in JGP the season before last. She could be a decent partner for him, if he is willing to leave Pavlova.

what about Maria Vigalova, didnt she found a partner ?
what happened with that.... :con3:
She's skating with Vladislav Lysoy.
I don't think think they were invited to the test skate.

Do we know who Zakroev's new partner is? It is quite from distance, so there is not much visible of her. Funny, from all clips that could be posted, it is the one that he trips and falls on her.

If Vigalova/Lysoy were not invited to the test skates, to me it indicates that maybe they chose not to compete again this season. Maybe they want to continue to skate in the shows. Otherwise I can't believe that Russian federation would decide not to invite them, when some of the pairs they invited were scoring around 100 or 120 as total score last season. I have no doubts that Vigalova/Lysoy would manage better score even if they left out two elements.

Scoring 100-120 last season is one thing, whether Maria can do triples (after years of trying) is another. Lysoy only has 1 season of junior eligibility left, the Fed could possibly have chosen to go with younger pairs.

Anyway, this is a photo from Amina's instagram:

The girl second from left is Lina Kudryavtseva, the girl on the furthest right is Elizaveta Egorova. One of them is perhaps Zakroev's new partner.

I would think that Russian federation would want someone who delivers the results. You are right that Vygalova did not have triples (and possibly still doesn't have them), but she medalled at junior worlds and JGP even without them, so if she can deliver with her current partner the same results, I would imagine that the federation would prefer her to someone who is scoring low and may not get anywhere near medals. You are right that from long term potential point of view the pairs who last year scored 100-120 may be preferable, especially when Vygalova with her current partner will aged out from junior after this season, but whereas those 100-120 points scoring pairs may have several years in juniors, but it would be smarter to get the results and medals from Vygalova this season and give those weaker pairs another year to get stronger. Russian federation isn't stupid and do their best to get the results, so I am guessing that if Vygalova wasn't invited to test skates, it was her choice of not wanting to compete and preferring to do show. After all, she is young, she can start competing in seniors if she suddenly starts landing triples.

Lina Kudriavtseva has moved to Pavlova. I am not sure if she moved with her partner (Kuznetsov) or not. Do you recognise if any of the blokes is Kuznetsov?

It's weird, if Zakroev had a new partner, why he would stay on icepartnersearch?

Both Lina Kudriavtseva and Elizaveta Egorova just became junior eligible this season. It will take two whole seasons before they can compete internationally in seniors. So I doubt either of them is Zakroev's new partner.

^None of those skaters in the photo is Kuznetsov. From right to left: Korovin, Zakroev, Spiridonov and another skater.
There are other photos with this group of 8 together as well. The photos were taken at Pavlova's training camp.

According to Natalia Babicheva's interview with with Nikita Mikhailov on Sports.ru, Zakroev's new partner is Egorova. Mikhailov and Martyusheva did their SP.
