You should start one! I've started too many and it's difficult to keep up :slink: but I would definitely post on a thread for Petr! The boys deserve more attention!
Im too lazy to keep up & organize the OP :biggrin:

Hopefully someone will upload the LP from today!

I just found another interesting young skater from "mihsersh" youtube channel.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MA5nQSAjz9c

Who is she? How old is she? She seems to have great basic SS and all the difficult jumps.

There are some other viedos from last season. She didn't have 3-3 combo then, but absolutely beautiful skating.

This girl's name is Yana Rubtsova. She was born on October 18, 2004. Her coach is Vladimir Kotin. I do not remember seeing 3-3 from her until this year. She earned her personal best score at recent competition - 170.9 (61.89+109.01).

The problem for all those girls is that now they have all the same jumps because unless they start on 3A and quads, there is no where else to go. All of them at Russian nationals (even at junior level) have triple-triple (and one of the harder ones, like Lutz-toe loop or Flip- toe loop) in their SP and seven triples in their FS. Some of them already started back loading the programs with moving the jumps to the second half, or doing Tanos, but that may become very common in a few years time too. They are mostly capable to have spins at L4 and steps too, so that itself is not guarantee a good placement at the nationals and beating their competitors. What's left? The only way to get more points will be really the 3A and quads.

As much as I love the Russian girls, I think there is plenty of room for improvement, especially in a long-lasting technique. Working on the correct edges, getting a good height and ice coverage that makes through puberty. I am sure the Russian Fed loves where they are right now: They seem to have at least one wonder girl, and once she fails, there is another one to fill the gap. I just feel bad for the skaters, I mean, they dedicate their lives for a few sucessful seasons (if lucky) to fade into obscurity.

This boy, Andrei Kutovoi, is not quite 11 years old but I see a lot of potential here...he really knows how to perform to the music. Is he a cousin of Liza Nugumanova? I read it on FSO, but I'm not sure if Google Translate is correct. This is from the 2nd stage of the Cup of St. Petersburg today.

Do you know any high-fliers on Russian novice level?
Some girl with at least one monster jump?

This thread is full of high fliers on novice lever. They usually don't have one monster jump, they have full set of triples. Sherbakova, Vasilieva, Tarakanova and Trusova are not junior eligible yet, which means that they are on novice level. All four will become eligible the next season.

she's 11 years old, her birthday suggests she will be eligible by 2018.
she seems to have good technique, is she the new star of Panova after Sotskova left ?

maybe with Tarakanova. But remember, Sotskova was (and still) quite unique, without flaws in both Flip or Lutz from the very start. And more than a student for Panova. But will see
