Watching that RD, I thought, "they could win Worlds like this." I've already rewatched it four times  So pleased they're Canadian champions again!

I thought the same. I have loved this team for so long and they took my breath away with that dance. I've never seen them better. So, so happy for them. They have my heart.

Really happy that Kaitlyn and Andrew reclaimed their Canadian title! I won't forget how their free dance moved me to tears seeing it live at ACI, where they first performed it. Just ethereal and a deserving standing ovation from the Nationals audience: https://youtu.be/lilpzxmHCAE

As far as I'm concerned, worlds doesn´t need a RD competition, W&P tango is the best. I usually accept easily that judges may not share my point of view, but I don´t think I will this time... I really hope they'll win the RD, it's absolutely amazing.

Obviously with them sitting out the fall (for the most part) we haven't seen their programs nearly as much, but Four Continents was the first time I felt more emotional connection to their free dance than just understanding what it was about on a theoretical level.

I saw then with new eyes last night. Never quite appreciated them the way I should have. Their FD was stunningly beautiful and mesmerizing. Their edges, their lifts just everything was perfection.

For those of you who don't have access to the competition thread, PM me if you'd like a temporary download link for CBC television's belated coverage of 4CC from this past Saturday, which includes their FD.

They appear in a few fluffs from the Canadian Championships:

Ice dance coach Carol Lane (Gilles/Poirer) who also does the commentating with Kurt Browning for CBC said that she thought W/P were under marked for their Rythm dance. I agree. These two have worked so hard this past couple of years. I thought their tribute to the late Denis Ten was a beautiful program. I hope they keep improving their skills and climbing up the ladder to the top. Congrats on their 5th place finish.

Particularly interesting and honest statement from Carol Lane since she coaches their rivals, Gilles/Poirier. I do think that Kaitlyn and Andrew are totally spell-binding in that SD. They should get extra points for being the hottest looking team! :)) Papadakis and Cizeron seem to have first place locked for the foreseeable future. But 2-5 placements are a roll. I wonder if Kaitlyn and Andrew stick around?

Yes, I certainly hope they do. I think they have one more Olympics in them. You never, know they could give P/C a run for first.
