Thanks for the info. Was wondering how Simon Pierre Malette-Paquette did on his return to the ice after being injured last year.

Even if I knew about her injuries, I was really shocked by how bad Polina's skating... Her SS are terrible, her lutz and flip technique is the worst I've ever seen from her and she had a lot of trouble in the spins, too! Poor girl

Yeah, that was pretty terrible! She waited so long before jumps and her upper body was really all over the place. She was SLOW and her spins were something i've never seen before. Slow and horrible positions.

Selena Zhao jumps are good, but she skates like a gorilla :slink:
Needs better skating skills and watch her posture. Good potential.

Wow, Shelepen has deteriorated so much further.
I thought this one was bad.

But now even much worse.
Only one improvement is her dress, but nothing else.
She is same as Caroline Zhang, once a very successful junior skater turned out to be a disaster in the senior ranks.
Polina is still young, but at least she needs to lose some weight,
and get better supports for skating & jumping skills, and also music choice and choreography
if she still likes to compete internationally.
Otherwise it's just too painful to watch.

All I can think about her situation is that she desperately needs Tutberidze :slink: Immediatly after she left her, she began to skate worse and worse :(

Sky_Fly....is that you? She desperately needs to improve, but weight loss is not on the list of things she needs to do....

Exactly. Shelepen looks fit (as most skaters are regardless of body shape), but the jump technique is kind of all over the place. Has she always jumped like that? Early on as a Junior, she used to reel off the triples like it was nothing. Ouch. I wonder if this was all puberty related, or if the coaching change played a part. Her overall programs need some real work, and I hope she can at least get it together enough so that she can skate a decent effort.

Shelepen looks like she's grown a lot and has trouble adjusting to her new body. Her movement seemed poorly coordinated.

To think that she was once winning medals on the JGP circuit...

Castelli and Tran look like a great match. The choreography was interesting (Julie Marcotte on top of the game, as usual) and they sold it well. I am really excited for this team and can imagine them being competitive at the highest level by 2018 (let's hope he can get the US-citizenship fast-tracked somehow).
