I'm a big supporter of Marin Honda. She's only 12 and has been praised by the media as the next princess of figure skating. At just 12, she has mastered triple lutz, triple toe, double toe combination even more flawlessly than senior skaters. She is a child prodigy and currently practices her triple axel and quad jumps. She started figure skating from 2, and won nearly every competition she entered.

She has a real lutz? And all kind Of jumps?

yup, one of like, 3 Japanese junior ladies that has a true lutz. She can do 3lz3t but I think the 3t is often URed. 7 triple programs, so yes she does all the triples except the axel.

Thanks for the video. She looks very promising and talented. When do you think she will be able to compete internationally like in JGF?

According to the first post, she was born in August 2001. That means she just misses the deadline for 2014-15 Junior Grand Prix. To skate in the 2014-15 Junior Grand Prix, a skater must be born by July 1, 2001.

I would expect, then, that she'll make her debut next year.

Yes, she will be 16 in Pyeong Chang Olympics, and is the most likely gold medalist winner at this point from Japan. There has never been a Novice SKater at this level ... No wonder she is practicing her quads. She perfectly mastered all her triples and is ahead of her game. I just can't wait until Marin sweeps the podium next year!

We will see how the rest of the Japanese ladies do and how puberty treats her. Personally I also see a promising skater in Wakaba Higuchi as well. I hope she does well at her JGPs.
