Astakhova and Rogonov are leading the pairs after the short with a score of 60.28. Level 2 on the twist and 3 on the death spiral and spins.

V/Z are in second. The SBS was a 2A but they were well done, on the lift he stumbled and put her down after one position so it got negative GoE. Bar the opening inappropriate/awkward moves it was a very enjoyable performance.

The poor Italians are in fourth with 4 deductions, 2 for falls and 2 for 'illegal element/moves'

Amazing performance from both A/R and V/Z!! Especially A/R look so promising for a newly formed pair, liked their presentation and confidence, well done!

Forgot that Latvia is 2 hours ahead of me rather than 1. So, Senior Ladies Free has started already.

Thankfully, I've only missed the first skater, Finland's Emilia TOIKKANEN.

Absolute disaster of a skate from Sindra Kriisa (Estonia). She was on her backside more often than not!

Hope the same doesn't happen to her close friend (Tuktamysheva) in the Cup of China...

We have just completed the 3rd group, which means that we only have the top 10 left.

Scotland's Karly ROBERTSON is currently leading. She is followed by 2 Estonians, Gerli LIINAMÄE and Helery HÄLVIN.

The next group includes Brazil's Isadora WILLIAMS, who was 6th in the SP.

The final group starts off with SP leader Jenni Saarinen (Finland), followed by 4th place in the SP, Camilla Gjersem (Norway).

Hope it's an enjoyable climax to the competition.

EDIT: Just noticed that the girl who was 8th in the SP, Janina MAKEENKA (Belarus), is not in the starting list for the FS. Consequently, there are only 4 skaters in this penultimate group.

It really makes you feel warm inside when you see a skater get so excited when their segment score comes up!!!

91.92 in the FS wasn't enough for Camilla Gjersem to take the overall lead from Jenni Saarinen, but it was enough to overtake her in the FS.

Anne-Line may be making Norways's debut in the Senior GP Series this weekend, but if Camilla keeps on performing like this, it may not be long until we see both of the twins in the GP Series!

Yaaaay I'm so happy for Camilla Gjersem!! I really love Gjersem sisters. Sad that she missed the podium overall

Also nice skate from Bock of Germany and hometown girl Kuchvalska. Germany has a bright future with all these juniors transforming into senior. Kuchvalska was kinda overscored, though. I would prefer the podium to be like this:
1. Bock
2. Kuchvalska
3. Gjersem

Jenni is a really beautiful girl, unfortunately she is a short program skater. I've never seen her well at long programs this season. She is so promising talented skater, I hope to see her in a better state.

Now that was a surprise.

The final girl to skate, Angelina KUCHVALSKA of Latvia, who had been lying 5th after the SP, WON THE COMPETITION!!!

She had a MASSIVE 98.96 in the Free Skate - nearly 5 points higher than the next best score, that of Germany's Lutricia BOCK. Camilla Gjersem was 3rd in the FS, closely followed by Jenni Saarinen. Karly Robertson was 5th in the FS, but was the first without any deductions.

So, overall, Kuchvalska won, with Bock in 2nd and Saarinen 3rd. Gjersem stayed in 4th.

Who would have predicted that result after the Short Programme???!!!

In contrast to Camilla earlier, Australia's Mark Webster came off the ice repeating 3 words: "That's not good". And when he sat down, his head was straight in his hands.

It wasn't as bad as he feared, though, as when the first group finished, he had at least 2 guys behind him (I don't know exactly where he is because although there was live scoring on the rsults page for the Senior Ladies Free earlier, there isn't now!)

As expected, Conor has remained in last place overall. But, he wasn't too far behind the guy in front of him, Alexander BETKE of Germany, who dropped from 16th after the SP.

Now that Conor's finished, it's time to put on my British hat. And there is quite a large contingent! There are 3 Brits in the second group alone! And then 1 each in the final 2 groups.

I have to be honest, and admit that I don't know where any of them are from. But, I hope they all skate as well as they can!

Graham & Jack Newberry have competed at what used to be called the Liberty Summer Competition in Aston, PA, USA. They were really very good there!

Thanks for the info. Jack put in a good skate, but has lost the lead to Gaylord LAVOISIER, who had been 15th after the SP.

Another Brit, Charlie Parry-Evans was on straight after Jack, but had a false start when they played the wrong music!

An easy mistake to make, but unforgivable when it's supposed to be "Lux Aeterna" playing!

(Readers of my posts about music will know only too well that "Lux Aeterna" is my favourite music for skating to! )

I'm going to be missing the next group (tea time!), so good luck to everybody skating in my absence.

I'm back!

Arrived in half-way through Petrov's routine. And from the half that I did see, boys did he look good!

Good to see that the live scoring is now working! And as a result, I now know that there are currently 3 behind Conor Stakelum in the Free Skate results!!!
