I was thinking the same! And I know this might be a purple bathrobe moment but I found it very interesting that she did the skid spiral + what looked like a marked layback at the end of the program. Just sayin‘ that it looks familiar from... a few programs in her past. And right to the lyrics “I don‘t wanna be you anymore“.... Well, like I said. Purple bathrobe moment but I couldn‘t help thinking that.

Not so far-fetched! I also like the idea of a white costume, a blank page for a new beginning.
Not too happy about that, but I also think if she wanted that spot she would likely get it.

Thank you for sharing! What an emotional roller-coaster ride Skate Canada was! It is so interesting to see Memoirs of a Geisha in slow-mo, because it confirms what I remember from watching it on the livestream, that her jumps seemed so much lighter and that she landed on softer, more bent knees than she did in the SP. Also, I am really impressed by how centred her spins were towards the end; she really didn't travel much if at all.
I also love the brief moment caught on camera of her and Alexandra chatting on the ice. It warms my heart to see the two of them together, knowing that Evgenia has been Sasha's inspiration.

Aww you know, I have a lot of issues with the way Russian media treats Ladies fs as this hype machine, but if there's something I'm truly thankful for, it's these features. Very well made and really translates the emotional rollercoaster of Skate Canada to the screen!
In the interview Zhenya says she was demotivated by the SP for about two hours and after that her mom, friends and coaches helped her collect herself and prepare to fight again. Loved to hear that, that's our Zhenya!

I dont get it either. Of course I'm not a coach but as you say it didn't work last season. And it won't work this season.in this respect I'm really mad at Borser!
