Wow. I was watching NW Pacific regionals on INW and they got a real arena! I am so green with envy. Wenatchee I hate you! :laugh:

When the Sectionals come to Spokane in a few weeks, it will be a cold rink with cold benches and nothing to drink but cold gruel.....look for me in the "stands". I will be the only fan there.

I guess they aren't using the Spokane Arena! I really liked the restaurant at Spokane Arena, even if it was usually jammed. Enjoy the Sectionals and wear lots of layers to stay as "not frozen" as possible.

You mentioned in another thread about trying to get info about 2016 U. S. Nationals. Well the website is still not updated and my 2 emails have been ignored! Still no info on hotels or a shuttle. In Boston I spoke with the people from Saint Paul and they were praising their new light rail in Saint Paul. Of course, the lower level events and some practices will be 20 miles away in Bloomington? so I don't now how you would get there since the light rail is mostly in Saint Paul!

Hi M. Yeah, I have been to regionals at the Eagles ice rink in Spokane before and its no arena. Oh well. I have warm clothes.....and it is the sectionals this time.....
My other friends and I cant get much out of St. Paul either. I was hoping someone here who is going to SA will ask them (I assume they will be there) what the deal is. They have an underground/overground skywalk that is safe to use to get to many of the hotels....we just need to get ST Paul Org committee to move a bit faster.....

Pairs and Ice Dance teams start their Qualifying at Sectionals (Eastern, Midwestern, and Pacific Coasts), which are all November 19th-23rd. There's really not enough of a volume per region to put them forth at Regionals, especially compared to some singles levels at regionals that have to have 4-6 qualifying groups due to the sheer number of registrants.

You bet! (The best one I have been to was at the Coyote Den in Scottsdale/Phoenix AZ. You could go outside the rink during breaks and warm up! The skaters, their families and the coaches are much more accessable at these small events as you all sit on the cold bleachers and watch together....and there aren't very many fans that show up. Lets see if I can post some pics....)
