This pair has so much potential!

After winning silver at Junior Worlds last season, their senior career has begun with two GP medals. Although this wasn't enough to make them qualify for the grand prix final, they have performed enormously well at Russian Nationals last weekend. They won the free segment over Stolbova/Klimov, whom actually was not at their best, then finish second overall!

Their free program to Lionel Ritchie's Hello is just so beautiful and I nominate Tarasova for the most beautiful pair skater lady among the newcomers to the big stage. As far as I know, they are also a real life couple. Get ready people, they can be the next big thing in pairs skating!!

I prefer their short program, but it was great to see them finally nail the free program at Nationals. Is Robin Szolkowy going to continue working with them?

With Robin Szolkowy as their coach and Max Trankov as their choreographer.. I think this team has all the potential to go to the top. plus Evegenia's jumping technique reminds me so much of Volosozhar's.

I thought the same!! Not only the jumps but she reminds me of Volosozhar overall. Evgenia is such a diva

I don't think she's a diva now.. she's too sweet. Maybe in the future as they both develope more character.
Stolbova is a diva.

Russian ladies are the best. All of them. Volosozhar, Stolbova, Tarasova, Fedorova, Astakhova.. they're so strong yet they keep their femininity and elegance.

KinoriH – why do I almost always agree with you! When I went to New Jersey last summer to watch V&T train, Evgenia was the person I approached first to ask if V&T were expected that morning. (She and Morozov were practicing their lifts, along with 2 other pairs, in the large waiting area. She’s even tinier I think than Tanya.) It was past the hour for the training to begin and I was worried that V&T were not going to appear. Evgenia was the sweetest creature, almost childlike. She blushed and giggled and said in Russian that she couldn’t speak English. She went and pulled Vladimir Morozov over and I asked him if V& T might be coming. He nodded and said that yes, they were expected, but he was rather shy and so serious -- my goodness, I felt as if he were V&T's bodyguard and protector!! Anyway, my point is that I would say the LAST thing Evgenia could be called is a diva. She seems to be a total sweetie-pie, ladylike and shy too.

Ah, what a lovely story! Thanks for sharing.
Evgenia and Vladimir both so cute.
Their skating is so powerful and elegant. I'm looking forward to see their development.

I actually enjoy their LP too. We could be : together - except I'm so used to having - apparently ;) - odd tastes, that I've ceased to care, and grown quite shameless in the matter. :)

Yeah, overdramatic program by TAT would be perfect for OG.
Actually, step seq. of SP was N.Morozov's work this year.

That's a great interview, lots of interesting reading - thank you. :) I'm glad he is enjoying the next chapter in his life, and that the transition seems to have gone so smoothly.

Oh, I've quite forgotten to Congratulate for two great skates! Well done!

My husband happened to catch a lot of the pairs' FP - and he was full of praise for them. He said that they looked "professional".
