I first saw this when I was at work, but now I'm home and can properly sob over it. So true--we know how special they are and will remember them that way.

I came across some photos of them from 2017 Euros. Evgenia looked so happy. I just want to see them happy again.

That's true, seeing them disappointed is definitely the hardest part. If they were coming last but smiling it would still be easier.

But here's a pic of T/M looking pretty smiley: https://www.instagram.com/p/B7uKK8CpETD

I'm hoping to see them shine in the Gala! Although, come to think of it I probably won't be able to watch it live do'h!

Anyway, I hope you cheer up aka_gerbil!

A big interview of Zhenia and Volodya, I haven't seen any hint they miss Candy man. https://tass.ru/interviews/7631409

Ha ha well, they never seemed to really get into Candyman that's true, but I thought they enjoy their Electro-swing, Music FS and even that I Feel Good program.

I think this season's programs fit them well, I hope they can do them to their full potential at Worlds, that would be so great :)

I am missing T/M at the moment, it seems like an aaaage since Euros, but I went looking on Insta and saw some quality content:

T/M are at least enjoying themselves in Florida!

Apparently, Evgenia was injured this season:

A link to this article was in the Worlds cancelled thread. I felt it should be pasted here.

Interesting! While I was really looking forward to watching them at World's it's great they can take this time for Zhenya's injury to heal.

Fingers and toes crossed for next season! I guess they'll isn't new programs? I wouldn't mind then keeping their current ones, I love them!

I hope this enforced rest give Eugenia time to heal fully. They have work to do to regain the Russian leaders position but I think they can do it. For me they have the potential to be world and Olympic champions, I think working with Marina can get them there. Hopefully when we get over this crisis they will be able to get back to their training routine in the US.

Due to the lockdown I’ve been watching loads of old FS videos and I came across these old videos.

JGP Croatia 2012 - SP

JGPF Japan 2013 - FS

And my favourite skate of the current season, their SP from Russian Nationals. Truly spectacular and a great showcase of all their talents.

I hope so too! Right now SBS Australia is showing Pairs Highlights from Euros this year. I miss T/M so! My faves, and I'm cursing that slippery ice during the lift in the SP because it was going so perfectly.

I wonder I know the ice dancers are keeping their RDs due to lockdown and logistics, but do you think T/M will keep one of their programs (or both!), I really want to see them performed to their best, I think they're really special programs!

Red headed Zhenya! Old school! Also I kinda miss those days when the guy would change hands during the death spiral, I always thought that looked really cool!

Bit of a tough skate from Vovan, but as ever showing my questionable taste in costumes, I love the shirt.

Truly stunning, the slide into the combo spin is so epic! If they get new programs I hope they keep that because it's seriously "Wow!"

Also I'm sure I've said it before, but Vovan's long hair is fabulous and I shan't hear a thing against it  Someone dissed it on Insta a few weeks back and I was like "Oh heck no."

Here's to lion's mane Vovan M! :cheer:

An analisys of the first year of Zhenya and Volodya under Marina Zueva http://sport.business-gazeta.ru/article/254639?utm_source=read_also_right

Maybe it’s because I’m tired and very stressed in general, but that article left me feeling depressed about their prospects going forward. It sounds to me like they’ve lost fed support and have little chance to get it back with the world situation what it is. Smirnov had some nice things to say, but the overall vibe was put them out to pasture.

To me it sounds that they don't have too much privileges for their previous records but they still have the fed's support. If they are able to ajust to their new more dancing style and leave the mistakes behind they can be sure Russian #1.

Trankov: skaters Tarasova and Morozov are likely to miss grand prix stages

On September 16, it became known that Morozov had contracted coronavirus, which forced the pair to miss the first stage of the Russian Cup, which was held in Syzran. On Thursday, Trankov told TASS that Morozov had been cured after contracting coronavirus.

"We start full training from Monday, but as for the plans, then we can only assume. We probably won't compete at the Grand Prix at all," Trankov said.

The Russian Figure Skating Federation and coach Marina Zueva, who works with the pair in the United States, decided to keep the athletes to train in Russia due to the epidemiological situation.

"We stay in Russia, they won't go to America to train, otherwise there may be problems with the return, including a two-week quarantine," Trankov said. - So we will stay in Moscow, we will participate in the Russian Cup. We plan that it will be Kazan - the region for which Eugenia Tarasova, as well as Moscow. In terms of the timing of these starts they really prepare, after all, the guys were three weeks without ice."

Strange that they are listed for Skate America at the end of October, I can't imagine them going there. Hope we will see them healthy at some CoR stages. Maybe they can still attend GP Rostelecom, there is one space empty apparently for a Russian team and they would have two more months to prepare.
I'm just so happy that I got to see them live at Europeans.
