Mmmm. So the Slovakian site is also giving listings for the figure skating, even though it is being held in Spain (I got them off the Spanish site).

You know, I find it very strange that this event is being split between these 2 countries. Like, I would understand if it was Spain and Portugal, or Slovakia and the Czech Republic (or even Slovakia and Hungary).

But Spain and Slovakia???!!!

Here is the Schedule PDF for the entire Universiade.

For those of you that like Nordic skiing, Eurosport's coverage of the Universiade competitions in Slovakia will kick off today (competitions actually started yesterday).

The Cross Country Mixed Relay will be shown LIVE on Eurosport 2 today from 12:26 - 13:30 CET (11:26 - 12:30 GMT).

Given that there are so many sports involved, I am not going to post detailed schedules. However, here are the links I use to construct my Eurosport schedule lists:

Please be aware that putting "Universiade" into the search box should pick up most of the programmes, but from testing it there now, it doesn't actually pick up all of them (eg. the British Eurosport search didn't pick up today's Cross Country, whereas the German search did.)

Unfortunately, it looks like Eurosport will NOT be showing the figure skating competitions from the Universiade. :disapp:

But, hopefully we will find some other means of watching!

Now that I think of it, Eurosport didn't show the figure skating at the last Universiade either. Because I remember trying to avoid reading the results for a good while afterwards until I got the chance to look for videos.

And then I found out that the lovely Miss Marchei came second in the Ladies singles competition!

Of course, apart from the fact that she is now concentrating on Pairs, Vale is actually too old now to try to improve her result...

I just clicked on the link, and found that they also have an On Demand service. And you don't even have to register for it!!!

I clicked on the video for today's women's biathlon, and it just started playing!!!

So, no prizes for guessing what I'm going to be doing first thing tomorrow morning! (When I should be doing my predictions for Europeans...)
