Just saw on Daria's Facebook profile - her French citizenship is now through.

Now the only obstacle in their way is to get the minimum TES. Thankfully, there's lots of Senior B's between now and Worlds.
Oh, it's just a pity Skate Helena this weekend only has Singles competitions. Otherwise, they might have got it in time for Europeans...
EYOF takes place from 25 - 30 Jan 2015 in Dornbirn (Vorarlberg) Austria.
Figure skating events take place between Jan. 26-28.

Papadakis / Cizeron were very good!!!
Any theories on why Chafik is doing so poorly these days? After 2014 Worlds, I really thought this season could be a breakthrough for him. And it started out well enough, but it's just been downhill since Skate America. Coaching problems? Or something else?
I was glad that Florent gave a good effort, at least. I'm not sure if he can ever get back to what he was at his best, but at least he seems to be fighting for it.
Chafik said he was having a knee pain on Thursday. His team will decide whether Chafiki participates to compete in the free program.

Oh, no. Not good...but in a strange way I'm kind of relieved to know there is a physical reason and it wasn't just an epic meltdown. Of course, I hope it's not serious, and I hope he will err on the side of caution. Please, no more scary skates, this season has had enough of them. :hopelessness:
Chafik decided not to compete for the free program because of the injury. He is also supposed to compete Winter Universiade next week and attend a gala show two weeks later from now, but I'm not sure how he will make them. http://www.ledauphine.com/sport/2015/01/30/besseghier-c-est-plie
No more injuries, yep. I guess we will see Ponsart represent France in Worlds 2015 instead.
There was a gala in Grenoble a few days ago...many nice photos with Brian, Chafik, Philippe, etc. can be found here:

So I guess Chafik is feeling better now?
We are very worried in France. Philippe Candeloro was participating in a newtv game "dropped" with some others athletes in Argentina. There was an helicopter crash and its concerns a french tv show. Hope he's fine. We are waiting
