Okay, so she did get it fully around, which is good. But it looks like they won't go through with the "last jump in program" idea... Hopefully it doesn't cause problems for the rest of the skate.

I guess we won't see it at Worlds. Next season though... :cheer:

Level 3 combination spin is worrying, since it's the second time it happened... but surely she won't repeat the mistake a third time.

WOW!

She's not an underrotater , so either she will pop it or fall on a rotated attempt (if failed).

She still got 5,50 for the jump, so more than for her (perfect) 2 Axels.

I hope someone will upload videos!

But -1 for the fall. Liza doesn't need the jump this season. Her GOE is going to be better than Elena's. She just has to skate clean.

Still worth more than 2A, unless the 2A gets straight +3s. (To be honest, Liza's 2A does deserve straight +3s, but the judges never give it to her.)

I agree it's not worth it for this season, since it can mess up the rest of the skate and the PCS.

She has to skate more than clean to win against Elena. Every single jump has to be at least +1. One turn-out or wonky landing and Elena has won (assuming both skate cleanly).

In this competition she had one fall on the 3A and obviously a small error on the 3-3 as well and still her TES is almost 37 like the whole season. A fall on the 3A and a clean 3-3 would bring her to 39, like Elena. A step out on the 3A over 40...

I want her to risk it!

Aside from Liza's axel: (Liza's boyfriend) Andrei Lazukin won the SP with almost 9 points lead. He got over 40.56 for his TES. With Bychenko and Samohin it would be a pretty interesting competition.;)

I'd forgotten that the Bavarian Open was this weekend!

Was just looking at the results from the Senior Ladies (the only Senior competition to be completed at the time of writing this comment).

Does anybody know why Liza withdrew from the FS? Please tell me it's not connected with the fall she had in the SP!

Also, a thing I have wondered the few times I've come across her. Is the winner, Mariko Kihara, related to Ryuichi Kihara?

Anyway, here are the Senior Ladies results:

Alex D: So sorry to hear you were ill and were unable to attend, but glad that you have gotten over it now. And, as Sandpiper has said already, it was very thoughtful of you to put the wellbeing of the people around you ahead of your own enjoyment.

You are a true gentleman!

I was wondering the same. What happened to Elizaveta? I was so happy that our Dutchie Niki Wories got bronze medal that I completely forgot that Elizaveta was not in the totalscore segment.

In Liza's fan thread they discussed she WD because of being not 100% fit. Apparently she had some stomach issues. Nothing serious, just not worth skating the FS if they were there to test the 3A in the SP anyway.

Phew! Not that stomach issues are good, but I was worried that it was an injury. (I know the fall looked innocuous, but sometimes it can take a while to realise something's not right).

Get well soon Liza!

OK, so I have just been in the Fan Fest thread, and it turns out it was actually something else. I'm going to be a gentleman and not go into it any further. So, if you want to know, see LRK's post at the bottom of Page 77 in the Fan Fest.

Moving swiftly on, and does anybody know why Annabelle Prölß withdrew from the Junior Ladies II competition?

(And for that matter, does anybody know how she is getting on with finding a new Pairs partner?)

Speaking of the Junior Ladies, it is good to see that the entry was so big that it had to be split into 2 competitions (same with Advanced Novice Ladies).

But now I am wondering: what do they do with the results? Do they keep them as 2 separate competitions and give out 2 sets of prizes? Or do they pool the results, and have just the one set of prizes?

If they do pool them, here is how the medallists from each Junior Ladies competition would slot in:
