^^ thanks, his jumps reminds me of young Yuzuru. not much power but very secure, you are not worried at all when he goes into a jump that he will land it.

He impresses me the most with his mentality and consistency I think. He just seemed to be unfazed and not nervous at all. Orser is a proud papa indeed!

So excited for Nam! I was at my little sisters birthday party when I read he won his first title and I literally threw my hands up and yelled 'yes!' and then had to explain to the room of teenagers that figure skating is a very important sport

He has done much better than expected. To see all 3 Cricket brothers in top 5 was just the best thing ever.^^ Before the last group start I was like "Omg, he's actually in position for a medal" but considering who was skating next, it would have required a big disaster for most skaters to happen considering the SP scores. And that's not something you wish to see (though it did happen a lot. I particulary felt bad for Sergei :()
That will give him confidence and motivation for the next year. I'm looking foward to seeing what he'll plan.

Ugh...devastated for Sergei. I am incredibly impressed with Nam the more I see of him, but I really hope they will move away from the juniorish packaging next season - he's a big boy now, literally. :p No more primary-colored stripes!

I'm pretty sure he's going to be working on adding that quad in the short. It didn't work out at 4CC and seemed to throw him off his game the rest of the competition and it was a good strategy not to include it at Worlds. But this kid wants to be World and Olympic champion and he works super hard (according to Orser). I'm sure he knows he needs more than one quad across two programs to really be competitive.

I'm sad for Sergei too. I really would have liked to see hi in the top 5 or 6.

And yeah, I hope he has more mature programs next year. I think he will. His team is pretty smart

I'm excited to see what Nam will come out with next! He's been giving off a much more mature vibe this season, but he still hasn't cemented his own style of skating imo. Hopefully he'll wow in the upcoming season

Nam is just impervious to pressure. He has nerves that his older competitors would envy. Hoping he could keep them even as he adds more difficult to his programs.

His speed has really improved over the year. :) Now, I'll say the same thing I said to Javi: Different programs next year please!

Nam might be the most consistent male skater out there right now.

I already can't wait for Nationals next year. Patrick vs. Nam. Obviously Patrick has a huge advantage, but for once a Canadian guy is going to be putting pressure on him.
