... I wonder which tv networks are covering 4CC in Japan or Korea. Maybe will will have better luck there.

Fuji TV, it seems?

I cannot confirm what is in the tweet below, but FWIW:

Korean channel coverage of 4CC is minimal, which is unsurprising considering Nationals was barely broadcasted.

The only events that will be shown live and in full is Ladies SP and Ladies FS on SBS Sports (ESPN), a cable channel.

SBS (noncable) will only show highlights on 2/14 (2:10-3:50am) and 2/16 (0:15-1:30am), all times in KST.

I just read that the entire (?) event will be streamed at this link: http://live.sports.media.daum.net/cast/spot/pot?id=484 but not sure if it will be geoblocked. I think it requires an application to be downloaded.

GS has spoiled me. I no longer get too worked up over coverage or streaming. Sure, it's nice if it's available.

But generally speaking, links to YouTube or other cheats are available very soon. I won't get up in the middle of the night as I might have in years past.

I'll block some time in the morning, scroll through the play-by-play thread, and watch the videos at my leisure with coffee.:)

I received info from my friend saying icenetwork doesn't work even with hola. Maybe(?) in some countries it works but not in my home country.

They may simply be having problems with IN

1. It uses Flashplayer. Lots of phones and tablets are not supported.
2. It is somewhat buggy anyway. Once you have it working, it is fine. Make sure you can play B stream or other videos that are never blocked before paying a subscription fee.
3. You cannot get out of paying for the service.
4. You need a good quality internet connection.

You are now all set to try hola..

I know it works in Australia.

CCTV5 and CCTV5+ (China Central) will cover almost every competition (except Short Dance).

Their official streaming sites are geoblocked so we cannot watch from outside China
But there are some unofficial live streaming sites (that work in Japan) like,

So I've been thinking about the concept of "live-streaming a live-stream" (some Inception-level stuff going on here), spent a good portion today at work thinking about how this could possibly be accomplished. Just working with equipment/technology I had laying around the house tonight, I was able to duct tape together a real mess of a setup to achieve this:

(stream is off-line now)

(This is not actually "live" footage, but it's me live-streaming another internet stream. Hmm... the possibilities... just tinkering around... ;) )

Love the idea, that would be no spoiler for people who happen to miss the events mainly due to the time difference.

Mostly just a proof-of-concept for me, to see that I could live-stream another live-stream (or any internet stream, in theory). The quality isn't quite as high as my livestreaming of NBC, so I'd probably need to tinker a bit more and/or possibly get a few pieces of (inexpensive) equipment to do it 'properly'...

Boy I wish I was rich so I could hire you to just be on call for any personal computer problems...like, oh I don't know, turning it on. Using the mouse. Figuring out why some files have apparently run away from their home into some kind of black hole. Le sigh. Whoever said ignorance is bliss never used a computer.

But your computer expertise is MUCH appreciated.

Thanks for posting this! For some reason I couldn't seem to find either the schedule or the link on the cbcsports.ca yet. Too bad they are only showing the free..but it's something!

So I take it that this channel won't be streaming this event? Does anyone know why not?

The ISU Skating Channel never has streamed Euros or Four Continents.

(But I do not know why, except that obviously the ISU limits which events it streams. Hope springs eternal for next year. ;))
