This is a waste of an hour. I think even Terry/Johnny/Tara are bored.

Tara: "She really upset the applecart in the short program."

Johnny: "She upset the applecart?! What is that??"

Terry: "A 'rainbows & sparrows', that's a saying Johnny, get with it."

But ... any boredom of the three commentators would not be a result of a repeat airing of the ladies.

The gang did not have to record two versions of the commentary.
It's a replay of the previously aired commentary.

I remember the apple cart thing from last time.

So what is "A rainbows and sparrows" exactly?

I have heard the apple cart one, not the other one.

This Liza commentary is familiar. We should do a comparison.

It's exactly the same. I guess this final hour was just a straight replay of the broadcast from 2 weeks ago. Kind of a wasted opportunity to show something else we haven't already seen on NBC's Worlds coverage, like the Shibs (for the first time)?

I remember Weir's phrasing of "rainbows and sparrows" from his Polina commentary two weeks ago.
Another sign that NBC is replaying today the ladies commentary recorded for the March telecast.

Anyway, my two cents is that I think Weir had invented the "rainbows and sparrows" thing on the fly when ad libbing the Polina commentary.
And I like that Weir is trying to be creative :) with his commentary.
But it then was a little surprising that during the Satoko commentary, Weir was unaware that Lipinski's usage of "apple cart" is a common metaphor.
So Gannon was gently teasing Weir by referring back to his "rainbows and sparrows."
I do think Weir made a good recovery :) by calling Satoko's next jumping as triple-"apple cart" and double-"apple cart" or whatever.

Agreed.
