Am I right, that Poland has two spots next year? That would be... AWESOME. First time in 15 years if I recall well

It is the greatest success of Polish ice dancers since 1997 (bronze of Błażowska and Kołubek) and the first time in top 10 since 1999 (8th place of Kauc and Bernadowski). This is AMAZING, congratulations!

Credit to both dancers and their coaches, who are local Polish coaches. The team trains in Torun.
Coach: Sylwia Nowak-Trebacka, Anastasia Vykhodtseva
Choreographer: Sylwia Nowak-Trebacka

Nowak-Trebacka is a tech specialist as well as an accomplished ice dancer herself;her knowledge must have been key in the rapid rise of the team.

They received personal bests here in both overall and FD.

Personal Best Total Score 131.78 07.03.2015 ISU World Junior Championships 2015
Personal Best Score Short Dance 51.69 28.01.2015 ISU European Championships 2015
Personal Best Score Free Dance 81.23 07.03.2015 ISU World Junior Championships 201

Kaliszek & Spodirev have qualified to compete at Senior Worlds, a tremendous achievement for a dance team still competing in juniors!

Best wishes to them both!

What is it with Popova/Vlasenko's TES getting dinged? I don't get it.

They bombed. Betina got over-excited. Again. They lost tons of levels on step seqs and twizzles. And their mistakes were rough, not just small stumbles or flat turns. They haven't executed twizzles during their stseqs, which automatically got them only level 1's. I mean twizzles, hello? In both dances. Catastrophe.

Honestly, I have no idea what happened with them. Their Dresden JGP performance was SO GOOD. They have beaten M/C (silver medalists here) by 8 points there. And that score would have put them on second place here even with WC inflation for other teams.

I agree. I like their FD from last year much more than this tango.
:shocked: I actually think that their last year's FD was one of the worst programs I've ever seen from s top-level couple, but if you have time to explain it, I would be interested in reading why you think that

 I was not impressed by the choreography of either program. I hope they will get a new choreographer when they compete on the senior level.

But then, I have never been all that impressed with Kustarova anyway.
