I could see Ashley or Joshi Helgesson skating to something like that.

I've been listening mostly to Zero 7, Royksopp and Kleerup (a project similar to Royksopp, with a lot of guest singers like Lykke Li, Susanne Sundfor, Robyn, etc.) I think a lot of this music would be good for skating, actually.

I think our musical tastes are similar.

I went thru a Sia phase early in her career and that is how I came to discover Zero7. " Speed Dial No. 2 "is a classic that never leaves my playlist. "Look Up" became a weird anthem for me at one point every time I skateboarded the local Halfpipe by myself. Not sure what it is about that song but it just reminds me of wind blowing in my face.

Anyone ever listen to Portishead?

I like many of the same bands as well. :yay:

I have to admit my first foray to Zero 7 was the Garden State soundtrack a decade ago. Mr. P really likes them too--there's one album he plays frequently on Spotify but I can't think which one.

I've heard a few Portishead songs, but probably more to explore there. :)

Sort of related to Zero 7 (namely, again because they appear on the same Garden State soundtrack, but also soundwise), I really like Thievery Corporation. Sort of like their Bossa Nova/electronica mix.

Love Thievery Corporation! I've been a fan of them for a long time. I like some Portishead...but not quite as much as Zero 7 or Massive Attack. Flight Facilities is great too, from Australia.

Well, watching as well as listening but...

I cannot stop hitting replay to this video from the Tony Awards. She is amazing. Eleven years old and performs and sings with such nuance and poignancy. I get a lump in my throat every time I watch it.

Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue. It is what is playing on my Sergei Rachmaninov Pandora channel, which I played during my labor. It was a great channel and really put not only myself but all the hospital staff at ease. :)
