All I can say is that Nathan’s consistency and competitive mindset are nothing short of amazing. He really is a once in a generation talent.

Nathan really is such a sweetie pie. Long after the exhibition he keep meeting with groups of fans in the audience, signjng autographs, answering questions, and posing for selfies with his trademark smize.

In his interview from Quadruple Axel 2020 , when asked which skater he aims to be, Yuma Kagiyama, the 2020 Youth Olympic champion, said it is Nathan. He said FS is not just about jumps, and he looked up to skaters who have perfect technique in all their elements. He went to Saitama WC and amazed at Nathan has all the technique in the world. He also watched Nathan’s video a lot.

Now I'm curious... was Raf in the area because of sth. else and decided to drop by? What else could've prompted this visit? It's still over a month until Worlds... :think:

Is Nathan having trouble with something, with one or several of his jumps? Is there a health related issue? (I'm still convinced that he had or still has an injury that kept him from doing the Lutz at Nats, possibly a reoccurrence of his old ankle injury. Which is such a shame, because his Lutz edge is to die for)

I mean, I guess maybe the idea was to try and make up at least some of the time they lost over christmas when Nathan was sick? :shrug:

And what does Yuki have to do with this? Perhaps her visit was unrelated to Raf being there?

I think Raf is there to make up for lost time. The flu really took away some good training time so weekend here and there will help.

Well I did think it strange to see Nathan wearing his Ralph Lauren Team USA jacket out in public. I don't remember his ever wearing it except for things like photo shoots or media appearances, likely because it would draw extra attention to himself.

Maybe vote for his costume just to make a statement? Reward the fact that he's breaking with conventions and choosing comfort (=functionality) over style and expectations. I think that's admirable. :p

Although I miss the eye candy and nicer lines that we got from his tight fitting Vera costumes of the past. :love:
