I know Shoma has said in the past that he likes to do lots of competitions so that he keeps the right mindset throughout the season, so I’m glad he gets to do Challenge Cup to get back into the swing of things before Worlds.

Just one note, maybe the original article missed it (too excited? :laugh:

) but I think the jump that was executed well was the 4F not the 4S in the SP. But hopefully it'a a good sign for Shoma's 4S in the FS though ahahaah!

I agree with Sastrugi, getting assigned to Challenge Cup seems to be a blessing, since Shoma can prepare for Worlds. It makes sense that he's a bit antsy with the jumps, it's been nearly 2 months since he last competed! I noticed in SP replays that he slipped a bit after the fist camel spin, thankfully he kept it together for the 3A :agree:

The fun rink is located within (!) the 400 meter oval speed skating rink, which is why it looks so odd. And you can only access the rink via two bridges, crossing over the speed skating oval.

That's nice to hear. I didn't want to make it sound mean. I think if you'd go to Germany, except for Oberstdorf it might be difficult to find a good rink. I'm happy there are great conditions ^^.

Hoping he got all the loose ends and jitters out of his system yesterday & gets the skate he wants. Poor guy. Was worried b/c he knew so many people were watching him. Truth.
Hoping also that Donovan gets his 64 and Keiji has a good skate.

Well, that sure was pretty. Different lay out but lots of speed, smiling and beautiful new movements. He was extremely happy in the K & C. :luv17:

4S, 4F, 4L step out.Two beautiful 3As.Fast spins. He remembered to do the 3A sequence and it was a beauty. The 4T 2T was right on the money. Even the cantilever arm thrust was extra special. From opening pose to additions in the step sequence, this is some magnificent work. Sooooooo happy for him and Stephane. I want him to be in the names mentioned again for a World title. This is one giant step. Just so excited.
