I’m pretty sure both of those are photoshopped, I don’t think there are any official photos yet, can’t wait to see the Marin&Shoma work of art

I had a good laugh seeing him greeting everyone with green smudged makeup under his eyes which he couldn’t completely remove, that’s SO Shoma :laugh:

My Shomatitis level has been increased a lot by seeing all these photos/ backstage videos in ice shows :laugh: Shoma looks so soft in greeting section and so happy to be the basket boy/ pose with Keiji when leaving the rink etc.

I think the Kabuki makeup in https://twitter.com/nikulovebot/stat...707922945?s=20 was "Darubisshu Kenji" from Japanese band "Golden bomber"...well I did read some fans' tweets said Shoma's Kabuki makeup looks like Darubisshu :shocked:

...I want to know the truth! News media please show us Kabuki Shoma's photo :pray:

Fans asked Shoma if he has something like desserts in Yakiniku Rion, Shoma answered he does have pudding, almond tofu etc.

Hard to believe that this is the same Shoma who don's silly looking wigs, bursts out in off key song not caring who hears him,
dresses in drag (Shoka-chan) and can be so dorky.

In this interview he presents himself as a mature, articulate and intelligent young man who
happens to be a highly successful competitive figure skater. How can you not love this guy!:clap:

That's Shoma :) He has all these different sides of him and I'm glad that we get to see all of them. And if anyone still thinks that he's a dummy because he sleeps a lot or whatever... Maybe take a hard look in the mirror? :coffee:

Well said. I wonder if mom and dad see him on TV and wonder where this well-spoken, articulate guy came from! The many sides of Shoma kun. He knows when it's time to be crazy and light-hearted, and he knows when it's time to be more serious. As he has matured, he seems like he doesn't take himself too seriously and really knows how to have fun. I hope he can continue on this great path! :clap:

I feel your pain! It's so frustrating, isn't it?! And translations are never the same as understanding it yourself. :sad4: But I guess we're fortunate that we do have people who translate things rather quickly, and who do a very good job.

The auto-translators just do not work on the languages that are as different as English and Japanese. Even in the fairly formal newspaper articles, it is just a jumble of words :( they do fine with more closely related languages though, like Italian.

So, yes, yes, great thanks to the humans!

You said it, Dr. H! I wholeheartedly agree. Shoma is full of hidden depths, and yet he's so straightforward at the same time!

Mei-san on instagram is making a series of posts on "Shoma's Closet 2018-2019". Looking back, we've definitely been spoiled for costume choices last season, and that's not even counting off-ice clothes and practice clothes (those UNO1 shirts!):

That begs the question, what are your favorite Shoma costumes from last season, DBC members?

I think he looks good in anything (I'm so predictable) but I have to admit Blue Moonlight Sonata stole my heart. It's so simple, but Shoma looked like the night sky full of stars decided to wrap itself around him! Time After Time, with the classy shirt and red tie, also grew on me during the season.
