Haha. Gotta give it to David Wilson. He chooses a song that aptly describes Shoma's situation this coming season.

Aaaaaah exciting times, exciting times! I'm really into the song choice from a musical standpoint, it has a nice tonal depth and good dimension of sounds, but at the same time it's distinctly different from the programs Shoma has done so far. I know David's done TAT and This Town, but the one that came to me as its nearest equal when it comes to the song's vibe is the First Movement of Moonlight Sonata- very minimalist. Done right, it's a piece of music Shoma can breathe and live in.
Also, I'm very interested to see how the program structured because it doesn't have the usual third act crescendo and climax that Shoma's free skate programs usually has. And I agree, this is a good contrast to Great Spirit (if it stays as the SP).
It's just fun to see Shoma doing another genre and sound and not just because the FS is not classical (his repertoire of classical programs is very dear in my heart). The lyrics are very, very direct- I'm really waiting for the next interview with Shoma and hear his thoughts about it. I know he's said he had EX vibes from the song and this is a music he thinks foreign skaters skate to... but I also want to know if David has imparted some interpretation thoughts to him, like TAT with its "Drinking at the Bar after Office Hours, Picking up Girls" direction.
Also damn, Shoma. No time to rest! Great to see Honda-san with him.

I'm sure Shoma will skate it beautifully but I'm not crazy about the song. I think this will be my least favorite Shoma season musically since I don't care for Great Spirit either though I love the energy in that one. Oh well though, honestly I dislike about 95% of skating music
