Awww, Shoma <3

It's the start of the GP Series so as usual, TV Asahi has their promotional video with the Turandot BGM
Shoma's part here, with DOMO costume: https://twitter.com/Mabt_3a4t/status/1185757116348289025

A little extra snippet from Finlandia Trophy post-comp interview, where Shoma (paraphrasing) gave comments about being able to land the 4F in the FS and still having more work to do. Also a cute two-shot with Sota and their medals:

Shoma had a feature with Shuuzo Matsuoka (most likely shot during the pre-GP Series press conference) aired by "Sunday LIVE!" yesterday. From what I can understand it's a promotional thing for Tokyo 2020 Olympics(?) but kindly CMIIW. Kazuki Tomono and Wakaba Higuchi were also featured.

Shoma's part included him recalling an experience in the past that shaped him to be a top skater now and a message from him to kids. The experience was none other than JNats 2006 where Shoma was shoomed by Daisuke Takahashi and made him want to perform like Dai XD there are flower boy Shoma footage from JNats, and.. he was VERY SMALL. AND CUTE. But this isn't a surprise

Feimeicheng translated some of its parts on her Instagram. Shoma's message to kids is lovely.

A surprise Shoma appearance today! He opens the new Chukyo University Sports Museum along with their stakeholders in a good-looking suit. Also, the Blurandot costume is donated to the museum...

Thanks a lot for sharing jerrymouse! I am very moved too. I knew he was born premature but couldn´t imagine he was that tiny. According to the translation he was only 900 grams.

Now I want to see Shoma live. I am kicking myself for not going to 4CC last year

Was thinking of you all weekend and hoping you were having a great time. How about going to the Men's events in Montreal in 2020 for Worlds. You would definitely love it!

Here is the Google Translation of what jerrymouse posted. He Is writing to an organization that cares for premature babies. You can get the idea from the rather "stilted" language that he is expressing his gratitude and thanking his parents for their tender loving care. Wow - 900 grams? That's a little shy of 2 pounds. Our Prince was tiny, tiny, tiny!!!!!!

My name is Shoma Uno. To everyone who works hard for child-rearing
I heard from an acquaintance that there was a gathering of children born like me, and decided to send a telegram to support them. I was born small at 900g 21 years ago, and that's why I came here because of my parents' positive love. My parents were worried because everything was slow. Even if the language is late, I remember a little when I was little.
Don't think your child was born small, please enjoy growing as individuality. I think that the children are happy that their mother's smile is a memory.
I was told that I should be alive when I was born, and now I am growing up as an athlete.
We support the future possibilities of children.

Honestly, just when I think I couldn't love this guy any more! I love that he never forgets to show his thankfulness to people who have helped him. He doesn't act like a victim of his circumstances - rather he uses his experiences to help and inspire other people. He has such a good heart! :thank: :ghug:

I think I’ll wait till the assignments next year, and hope he doesn’t get an impossible combination like Japan/Russia. If not, yeah, I guess I’ll have to try a big venue. Kelowna had a wonderful size arena, the skaters were so close to see, i’m still feeling dizzy from how beautiful the competition was.
