I guess they decided that skipping the overseas trip would be a better option then having back to back events. Hoping for a strong season for them.

A Russian poster translated an interview with Zhiganshin. He said some nice things about Victoria and Nikita:

On whom he roots for/prefers currently:
- And yet: can you single out any current skaters?
- In ice dance, perhaps, Sinitsina/ Katsalapov. They move in the same direction with the French and are able to compete with them.

- Do you communicate with former partners?
- I am not offended by Vika and Nikita, and am pleased with their success. They are great! We do not communicate, as we don’t have any common friends, but if time falls out, I don’t mind meeting them. In the spring, when I spoke with Peter Durnev, I congratulated the guys with their silver at Worlds.

I'm always happy to hear that despite of all the mess that came between switching of partners, all of them were able to move on from it.

Going OT now since I'm not talking about SinKats, but it's good to hear that Ruslan is doing well. I wished he commented about Elena though. BUUT I'm pretty sure he did that to respect her choices and doesn't want to say anything unnecessary.

Now back to fan-thread mode, I hope Vika and Nik at the least spoil a tidbit of their programs. I feel surprisingly okay (AKA not biting my nails off) with them doing a musicale RD.
Or maybe it's because I'm just mindlessly replaying their 2016 Blues RD over again.

i think for a musical to work both partners have to buy all in to doing it. In many teams, you worry about the guy not going all out. We all know Nikita is going to give it his all, so they are one of the teams i'm most excited to see do a musical.

1st I was upset that its a boring music but after a couple of listens it grabbed me:biggrin:
I still like RD music better. Probs like last year I'd vastly prefer RD as a whole. Lets see!
