Actually, they are not working on programs with Chris at all this season. He may see them briefly at the end of August, but has not been involved with the programs at all.

I am impressed that Gilles and Poirier skated their FD so early in the season and it looks like they will be doing their SD at another competition in the next few weeks. The teams and skaters that went to Worlds have had a much shorter period of time than the skaters who finished at Nationals to rest, then come up with new music, develop their choreography and then to be able to train efficiently enough in order to actually compete the program. So, I would naturally expect those teams and skaters that ended their season earlier to be further along in their development. Good for G/P having the ability and courage to show their dances at this time and do so well. Very often we dont see World Team members compete until the fall.
The same congratulations to any other singles, pairs and other dance teams that are taking a bit of a risk and putting themselves out their so early in the season.

Summer comps are certainly being encouraged right now, given the number of fellow Worlds competitors scheduled to compete both SD and FD at Quebec this weekend, too. I selfishly love it, it's nice as a fan to get a shorter off-season and to see the dancers get a better chance to polish and tweak material before the points really start to matter.
