You know you are a successful Russian male skater when the Fed starts criticizing you...:rolleye:

Of course Dima will need to make his programs more complex for next season, but I think that it would have been too much of a risk to put it in at JW when he has never tried it in competition before. He was in the best position to get silver and if he hadn't managed that because of a botched 4Lz, Lakernik would have complained about that too. And he could have talked about the shortcomings of the 2 Russian men that Dima beat (of which there are plenty), but no...

Lakerniks comments are useless as always - Dima did everything right, IMO. I really hope he continues to go at his own pace and doesn't let anyone rush him (even though I am looking forward to his 4Lz in the future, whenever it's ready  )

And the way he looks at Dany in that pic is so cute! May they share many more cute pics in their senior careers

Dima went back to his hometown of Ukhta to take his exams and he skated in a show last week there:

There's a brief clip of him skating with a female partner, and it looks pretty good! Also includes a couple short interviews with him & his father.

Dima is in Newburgh, New York with Alisa and Anton Shulepov. I think Rukavicin's group goes every year. Everything seems to be quite ok with Dima & Alisa, for those still wondering. ;)

I wonder if he's already working on the new programs...

Just to let you know that I have updated the Original Post.

Since the Fan Fest was so comprehensive to start with (thank you silverfoxes  ), most of the changes were only cosmetic.

The only real things I did was to add a few more Bio links, and to add this season's results to his competitive history table.

Oh, and I also removed a couple of parts that had been accidentally duplicated during a previous edit.

Hope you like it.

Thank you, CaroLiza_fan!

Fireworks Marketing‏ @FireworksNYC Welcoming our newest client to the fireworks world! Watch out for him in the 2018 competitive season #figureskate #icenetwork #skating

Their Twitter bio says Agent to Olympic Athletes and Hollywood Entertainers. Producer of live and televised events across the U.S. Seems unusual that they would represent a young Russian skater since their other clients all seem to be American (plus Brezina, who lives in the US)...but maybe this means he'll be doing some shows in the US? That would be great!

My secret source told me that Dima plans to skate at Nepala Trophy in Bratislava from 21st to 23rd of September 2017 and allowed me to share this info. So those who like to watch him live, may attend this competition. :)

These days that obviously means including more quads into the routine. Aliev has landed the quad toe in competition and has landed the quad Lutz in practice. The goal is to put it out in competition now. He tried the quad Lutz for the first time at the end of the 2015-16 season and then again before the Junior Grand Prix Final at the end of 2016.

“I felt confident that I was able to do it and it became even consistent,” said the World Junior silver medalist. “It was even easier for me to do than the quadruple toe loop. It felt comfortable.”

He did quad Lutz-triple toe-triple loop combinations in practice. “So, I just have to continue working on it and then try to include these jumps into the program,” he added.

According to rumors Dima is planning to do four quads in his FS this season.

Dima is competing at the 1st stage of the Cup of St. Petersburg tomorrow. It is a closed competition (the general public is not allowed :disapp:), so I don't know if there will be much info about his performance or new programs. But there were some people at the closed junior test skates who wrote their impressions, so I hope we'll have some "leakers" here too.

Apparently Dima scored 100 points in the SP today :jaw: He's in first place :yes2:

http://fsnews.ru/page.php?id=2989

edit - it seems Dima will not skate the LP :( So Mikhail can win by default, and I'm sure his fans will be pleased...:slink:

Fedichkina is also not skating the LP, so it seems like this is Rukavicin's policy.
I just have to say this, I don't remember a single fan of Misha bashing Dima or his fans, particularly not in Misha's own fan thread. So what's your problem with Misha and his fans?
Also, it was 99.7, not 100. Still very good. He jumped 4Lz+3T, 4T and 3A, but no details.
