They've been awarded the host spot at Rostelecom Cup. Congrats!

That is great news, I am thrilled for them.

I do wonder why Russian Fed didn't chose Bazarova/Deputat though. They currently only has one GP spot. Well, maybe they will get the open NHK spot.

Russian Cup Final. They were 2nd behind A/R. Their SP was their best ever. In FS she fell 3S and because of that they lose their combo. Based on their SP and the training video her jumping is much better than what it has been for a while now. I am really looking forward to see how they will do at the Cup of Tyrol. Clean FS will happen in near future.

Sadly Astakhova/Rogonov got only one GP event and because of that Russian Fed will likely give them the 3rd Rostelecom spot as a 2nd GP event. If A/R would have got two GP events then Alisa & Sasha would likely have got the 3rd Rostelecom spot. They still might of course but I think A/R will likely get that spot.

Sadly it looks like the rumors were true and Alisa has decided to retire. This is based on the fact that they are not included on the list of Moscow candidates for national team which pretty much confirms the rumors.

They changed coaches; they are with Vasiliev in St Petersburg (Moskvina's rink). So naturally they wouldn't be in Moscow team. However, they are in Russian senior reserve team.

Luckily the previous rumors weren't true and they are fine. They have been with Moskvina at her new school for awhile now and soon we will see if they have progressed because they should skate both at the Lombardia Trophy and Ondrej Nepela Memorial. Hopefully her jumps are better this season.
