I remember Kuan had suggested in the summer that Roman modify his "Bring Him Home" exhibition into a SP, so now it's almost as if s/he had a mild premonition that he would return to Les Misérables in some form. In addition to the use of vocals, the choreography is different, so at least it won't be exactly the same as the previous version.

Does anyone know who is speaking to him in the video?

Carol Lane had said in her CBC commentary towards the end of Roman's LP at the 2014 Junior Worlds http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x68n8pi (which was the first time he was shown on national television), "I would like to see him do this program again in about 3 years, and see what he would make of it then; there's so much potential there." I couldn't have known back then that she'd get her wish.

I will miss Sword Art Online and his portrayal of an anime hero, but I understand that it hasn't been giving him the results he has been aiming for, so I hope this revamped edition of Les Mis will offer him greater success for the rest of the season. :)

:love: I am already in love with it, though I like the SAO soundtrack. I wonder wich songs are used in the beginning!? I hope there will be a little bit of On My Own. :drama:

@Siberia I didn‘t see it coming, but it was my wish. He was born to skate to Les Mis, the perfekt skater for dramatic musical music. And I liked Marks Romeo and Juliet for Roman, so I am really looking forward for this! (Btw, Kuan is a she :biggrin:)

Just popping in to say GOOOOOOOOOOO ROMAN!!!!!! :yay: Have an amazing time tonight! Fun fact: This is the same rink where he made his JGP debut back in 2012 and won a bronze medal. I don’t think there's much danger of that happening again :laugh:, but I hope he can slay some inner skating demons and lay down 2 performances he can be proud of. Really looking forward to checking out his re-vamped Les Mis FP. :)

So proud of our young man! He did an awesome job last night. :yes2: I was most impressed by the fact that he was able switch to "plan B" for the combo and still hold it together. That would have totally thrown him off last year. The < call on his 3 axel was just harsh IMO. Not much longer till we see his new LP. :yahoo: Good luck Roman! Enjoy every moment. :)

ETA: Still very proud of Roman, even after that tough FP this afternoon (and no that's not just Mama Bear talk :laugh:). It looked exactly like what it is - a month old program. Under normal circumstances he wouldn't even have taken it to a summer competition, but when the Sr. GP comes knocking you don't say no. Positives to take away - the program itself is gorgeous, and looks good on him, I mostly like the new costume (the style anyway), he managed to get a clean-ish quad in, and his PCS were a little higher than at Finlandia, from an ornery judging panel. It will be much better by Canadians, maybe even good enough to get him an assignment to 4CC. :) Onward and upward! Can't wait to see him live in Vancouver. :dance:

The CBC chacked all the Canadian men singles skaters from its Skate America broadcast, but Radio-Canada Sports (the French version of CBC Sports) was kinder to them. Here's a 720p video of Roman's LP (his short program wasn't aired):

Both the male RCS commentator (sorry, I don't know his name) and Johnny Weir compliment Roman's skating in spite of the jump errors. :)
