I saw some pictures they posted on their facebook page and Christina wore a red dress and Anthony was in black. When someone said they were skating to Moonlight Sonata, I thought, really? In that red sexy dress? lol. Although I think it would be interesting to see them try and pull it off. Now I will look up Exogeneris symphony from Muse. Do you know what their SD music is? Does anyone have any videos of their recent programs. I can't wait to see it :)
I don't know for sure, but I assumed the red dress was for the blues SD, since as you said it's a little sexy for Moonlight Sonata(Or Muse, apparently?).

I guess will have to wait until Lake Placid Live streaming... I think all skaters are keeping videos private at this time of the year...
My Chesapeake friend told me they were doing a very sexy Blues with hip hop... nothing about the music

If it's true they are skating to Muse's Exogenesis symphony, I hope it's part 3 of the song called redemption. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbLDFiQM-l8
It's a really beautiful piece. I think another couple may have skated to this song before, I just can't remember.

Anthony resembles his mother, Marina a lot, which gives me a soft spot for him already. I think he is really talented; expressive, nice edges, charismatic.

The FD draws my attention over and over. I think Christina has been vastly improved as well, so she could convey soft and nuanced feelings throughout the program by moving her arms and fingertips softly but surely. That was as impressive as Anthony's charismatic lead.

Congratulations to #carrpon for probably making the Final for the first time! (Two silvers usually does it, unless it lost a tiebreaker in the unlikely case that there were a ton of teams who got gold and bronze.)

I like to make those nicknames where you combine the two names for pairs/dance teams. Thus, Carrpon. (See also: Macarp, Lobodz, Sphmirnov.)

Only 6 teams make the final.
Kuzmich & Sinicyn are out. Shevchenko & Eremenko are out. Polishchuk & Vaknov are unlikely to beat McNamara & Carpenter this week, so they are very likely out, leaving 7 teams for 5 spots.
Abachkina & Thauron are surely in. That then is 6 teams for 4 spots.

Barring injury, McNamara & Carpenter, Loboda & Drozd, and the Parsons will take 3 more, leaving 3 teams for 1 spot, one team of which is Carreira & Ponomarenko.

Only one of Shpilevaya & Smirnov and Ushakova & Nekrasov can make it, since neither has a win yet, and they compete head to head in Germany.

The interesting question is, which event will be the Parsons second one? It is not yet finalized, from the above chart. If it is Germany, Carreira and Ponomarenko will be head to head with whichever team finishes second in Germany, for who has the most total points. If the US fed is dumb about it, whichever team wins in Germany will be the one.

Also the Russian fed could move Loboda & Drozd around to counter. If they are at the same event with the Parsons, win or lose, both teams make the final, leaving Estonia wide open for whomever to win.

Yes it's true but why , you don't speak of Skoptcova/Aleshin , there is a possibility.
If Parsons choice Germany not to meet McNamara/Carpenter and Loboda/Drozd

We can have
- In Slovenia : 1) McN/Carpenter 15 Pts and 2) Skoptcova/Aleshin 13 Pts
- In Estonia : 1) Loboda/Drozd 15 Pts and 2) Skoptcova/Aleshin 13 Pts
- in Germany :1) Parsons 15 Pts and 2) Shpilevaya/Smirnov 13 Pts

Is just a possibility but in this case , we have in final : McN/Carpenter , Parsons and Loboda/Drozd with 30 Pts
4) Abashkina/Thauron 26 Pts (with a first place)

There are two place for 3 with 26 Pts ( Carreira/Pono , Skoptcova/Aleshin and Shpilevaya/Smirnov)

is not sure but it is a possibility , and the question , as you said , is who GPJ make Parsons ???

PS : excuse me for my bad english

thx Snow:love:

Markova: You're pretty experienced athletes already, how would you asses your performance today? You did everything as planned? Are you satisfied?
Ponomarenko: I think everything was done as planned, we had speed, we had energy, we skated very well today :)

Markova: Yes, you really did. It's probably pretty often asked question about your parents, since you're a son of our lovely and very famous dancers, beautiful Marina Klimova and Sergey Ponomarenko: Did you have a choice to do something else, not figure skating?
Ponomarenko: They didn't want me to be a skater, but I wanted to. They bringed me once on a rink and I really liked it.

Markova: How old you were?
Ponomarenko: I was 4 years old.

Markova: And you decided that you want to do that when you was 4 y.o?
Ponomarenko: Yes (smiling)

M: That's pretty cool! How often did you train with your parents? And with whom did you train more: with your mom or your dad?
P: I worked with them my whole life. But 3 years ago I moved to Igor Shpilband's group. I worked with my mom more, she choreographed some programs for me.

M: Who's the strongest in your team? Who's the leader? You or your partner?
P: My partner (laughs) She tells me what to do every day. She (he forgot the russian word here) encourages me.

M: Good! Are your parents involved in your career now? Do they help with programs, consult you? Or everything is done by the coaching team you're currently working with?
P: They call me every day. Ask me questions about my day. I tell them if the programs are good, and if not they'll tell me what to do. If it was a bad training day too...

M: Okay. How often do they go with you to competitions? Especially now when you're not training with them anymore?
P: They don't. They watch everyting at home :)

M: ...and worry about you.
P: Yes, yes (laughs)

M: Thank you for the interview, it was very nice. Good luck to you in your next competitions and best wishes after that in 'big' FS life.
P: Thank you.

P.S. His Russian is GREAT! No accent whatsoever

Edit: damn. I'm late as usual :palmf:
