So this is the last JR event and have to wonder why Canada bothers to have a National JR event. The JR ladies they picked this year for the JPG were not the top skaters at Nationals but in fact those who finished 6th, 7th 10th and 13th.
So what's the incentive for the JR ladies to skate their best at Nationals when they already know who the fav ones are to get the JGP assignments.

The Tech Team is entirely favorable to Pervushkina:

Referee Ms. Antica GRUBISIC CRO
Technical Controller Ms. Julia ANDREEVA RUS
Technical Specialist Mr. Jan CEJVAN SLO
Assistant Technical Specialist Ms. Sari HAKOLA FIN

The judging panel does not have any Asian judges, so that is favorable to Pervushkina as well:

HUN CRO KAZ CAN AUT RUS FIN GER SWE

Should we have expected anything else???? :sarcasm:

Marin and Wakaba are clearly more polished and advanced skaters. Let's hope that whoever actually deserves to win comes out on top and national bias doesn't come into play.

As a side note, did the Russian fed pull sima out?

1. Yes. I'm excited to see who ends up on top.
2. Sadly, they did. I would've liked to see her, but it's smart to let her rest in case she's injured.

She would have to have been submitted for Ice Challenge several weeks ago, before the closing date. Maybe she will have recovered her form in three weeks' time.

Oh, good for her! I hope she skates well. This could be an excellent confidence booster if she does. :)

Weird thing, she said in her Ask that she skated clean programs in practice for two weeks before Spain. If it is true, then I wonder why Fed. pulled her out just because of one bad performance (or why she decided not to go).

Hadn't had a look at the entry list, as I knew I wouldn't be watching (still haven't seen any of last week's Ladies Junior GP competition yet).

But, now that I have, I would like to wish all the best to Wakababy (of course!) and Karoliina Luhtonen.

Apologies if I have missed anybody out. There are some other names that I recognise, but I can't remember what they were like :slink: (Just remember, I haven't been watching Juniors for long. It takes a while to get to know everybody! ;) )

:cheer: ALL THE BEST, GIRLS!!! :cheer:

Could anyone tell me what place Wakaba needs to be qualified for JGPF?? I couldn't find how the point works in JGP series.
