There are many male skaters who have/had issues with 3As. Stephane Lambiel never got it consistent, Oda was trying 4S before 3A (until Lee Barkell fixed his 3A), Patrick Chan seemed to prefer quads over 3A. Adam Rippon really struggled with getting his 3A consistent, and so on and so forth. In the ladies, Miki was capable of landing 3A, but said that she'll never attempt it in competition due to injury-causing fall she suffered in practice as a junior (4S felt "safer" for her).
