I had no, zero, none, pas du tout idea that Christina was Québécoise?!? When did she start skating for us (since I'm American)?

Oh well, back to our regularly scheduled Nic viewing....

Did anyone else notice that just before Nic skated his SP at Junior Worlds, the cameraman focused on his crotch? If Nic watches the video, I can imagine him thinking, "Um, dude, my face is up here."

Although his SP attire is on the plain side, Nic is so attractive that it doesn't bother me in the slightest that it's a non-costume, and I think it looks good on him. For those of you who don't know French, "For Me, Formidable" is about a Frenchman who struggles to tell an English-speaking woman that he's in love with her (that's such a cute concept for a routine, btw, as Nic is French, and most of the time when he competes, the majority of the audience doesn't understand the French lyrics, so his character tries to impress us non-verbally ). In my opinion, this program doesn't really require a costume-y look.

I'm sure you approve of his fabulous Elvis outfit, though. :cool14:

That is ridiculously cool. Not sure how one even does that. Hope after the shows are done Nic can take some time to rest his ankle! He still has a small chance to make it to the Olympics next year

Are you referring to him collectively breaking our hearts with those popped jumps in his LP at Junior Worlds? :sad21: I don't know why, but I almost always seem to adore skaters who are terribly inconsistent in competition.

I found a 1-minute fancam of Nic from this past weekend's Revue sur glace ice show , which took place at the Jean Laurin arena in Mirabel; I just wish whoever filmed it didn't turn the camera away from the rink during the last 7 seconds of Nic's routine. :gaah: Interestingly, his exhibition includes this move (https://www.instagram.com/p/BR4x6heAPRk/) and this move (https://www.instagram.com/p/BSCRFj5g-5b/), he's wearing his "For Me, Formidable" outfit, yet he bares more of his chest than with the Elvis Presley costume, and he skates to "Sexy and I Know It"!

It's not a guess, he is a 19-year-old adult, and he chooses to be a peacock. :cool14: If Nic truly didn't want us to stare at him, he wouldn't reveal so much of his chest hair with the deep V-neck on his Elvis costume (compare Javi's modest Elvis outfit for contrast), and he wouldn't display even more of his skin for "Sexy and I Know It" (and why bother skating to that song if he didn't want to show off?). The title reflects his attitude perfectly.

"Natural seducer" is an apt description. When I was 24, I was once dated a guy who was 19 (just to be clear, he seduced me, not the other way around) and who happened to be half-Québécois, and Nic's awareness of his sex appeal reminds me of my ex.

I'm not sure if anyone who hangs out on this thread remembers how crazy I used to be over Fedor, but it speaks volumes that I already like Nic more, and I've been the latter's fangirl for less than 3 months! :luv17:

My hair is prematurely going grey as well for partly the same reason, so we're both in the same boat. I totally understand that one's devotion never wavers even when our favourites mess up rather frequently.

The term "heartbreaker" is probably doubly appropriate in Nic's case because 4everchan had just called him as a natural seducer, and I have a feeling that he may have broken many, many hearts outside of his skating.

Sa discipline à être constant au niveau de l'effort à tous les jours fait toute la différence. Comme il dit si bien; une journée où tout va bien c'est facile, ça va bien!

Mais les journées où il se sent fatigué et qu'il a mal partout, qu'il se sent à 60 ou 70% de sa capacité, c'est le temps de donner son 100%!

Qui est Nicolas Nadeau?

C'est une personne simple, très relax, et pas trop stressé de la vie!

Ce qui m'a toute suite impressionnée chez lui; sa capacité à être lui-même. Il est intègre, loyal et passionné du patinage artistique!!!

Il est très conscient que le support de sa famille est précieux et apprécie la compréhension de ses amis par rapport à son rythme de vie. Il sait dire non à des sorties qui sont trop proche d'une compétition importante.

Les journées où ça va moins bien... ben oui il se traite de poche mais en riant, rien de sérieux, toute en légèreté!!!

Pour Nicolas, que ce soit à l'entraînement ou en compétition, savoir s'adapter, s'ajuster et être flexible sont des atouts qui lui permettent de rester calme.

Son pire moment; une contre-performance dans le programme long au championnat canadiens où il avait une possibilité de médaille. Ce qu'il apprit de cette situation; être mieux préparé!

Son plus beau moment; sa performance au championnat du monde 2016 car quelque fut le résultat, c'était la performance de sa vie!

• Sa stratégie efficace d'entraînement; lorsque ça ne fonctionne pas comme il veut, il fait STOP, RESET et recommence son entraînement du début.

• Stratégie efficace de compétition; la veille d'une compétition il mange toujours un steak. La journée de la compétition il mange modérément. Il aime semer le doute dans son esprit (et son estomac) lorsqu'il embarque sur la glace; suis-je stressé ou est-ce que j'ai faim?

Pour garder une vie équilibré, Nicolas adore jouer à des jeux vidéo et voir ses amis. Il s'entraîne 5 cinq jours/semaine (4 heures par jours). Il garde ses week-ends pour décrocher en faisant des activités différentes (comme le surf intérieur), relaxer, dormir pour faire le plein d’énergie et garder sa motivation.

Son message pour les athlètes de demain: tu réussis quand TU décides de mettre tous les efforts, quand c'est TOI qui te pousse toi-même!
