Rachel Parsons was born on November 19, 1997 in Rockville, Maryland and her brother Michael Parsons was born on October 3, 1995 in Rockville, Maryland also. They are ice dancers representing the USA. They've been ice dancing together as a team since 2010 and they train in Rockville. They are the 2016/17 Junior World champions and 2016/17 US Junior National champions.

Brief Career Summary

Rachel and Michael won both of their JGP events this fall and will compete at the JGP Final this December. They previously competed at the JGP Final in 2013, coming in 6th. They have attended Junior Worlds three times, and placed 4th there in 2015.

Very impressive score in the SD. They train with McNamara/Carpenter at WISA, right? They seem to know what they are doing where the levels are concerned!

Exactly! They train at the same rink and have the same coach. So there must be something right going on in that rink. They might not even have to move out of Rockville. Detroit isn't the only option.

And plus it makes me excited that they (Plus McNamara/Carpenter) live in the DC metropolitan area. Cause I do as well. Sorry but when a skater(s) you like are from a metropolitan area you live in or same area, it makes you feel excited.

They are my favorite team and I am thrilled to see them do so well this year. Their short dance in Zagreb is a new personal best by 7 points, and I think the highest SD score in all the JGPs so far this year! Can't wait until Free dance!

Their SP was very very awesome!

They did great today I am very happy for them!

They were excellent.
And Rachel looked pretty with her hair styled like that.

Loved it, loved it, loved it! wow.

I feel a little bit gutted for them after that FD. But at least they medaled! I'm happy for them that they medaled! I bet they'll do a lot better at junior nationals and junior worlds!

Yes, good to see them still on the podium even with some mistakes (which they don't usually make! -- Their twizzles have been consistently awesome, not just great, all season long). With a clean skate in the FD, they could have been in first, but this is a tough sport and everyone has their on and off days. And that SD was just fantastic. This was a strong Junior field, and lots to look forward to at worlds.

Yes! Really fun to watch. The top two Junior teams are just spectacular, have been all year, and great to see them both skate so well in the short dance. Parsons' score was their personal best with all level-4 on the elements, and only one small wobble that was the difference in GOE between 1st and 2nd. Really looking forward to free dance.
