I am wondering why Mishin chose Misha Ge to work with his students. I know that he is very talented in music interpretation and is always the choreographer of his own programs, but, is he really that good?

Well, he is probably much cheaper than the big names like Buttle, Wilson, etc. and I don't think someone like Artur Dmitriev Jr. can really afford the creme de la creme. However, I think Misha could certainly have some fresh ideas & it's a good chance for him to prove himself. Younger choreographers may be less experienced, but they also aren't burned out after doing hundreds of R&J or Carmen programs season after season. But let's face it, it doesn't really matter who Mishin uses since his skaters' programs generally all get watered down anyway.

:laugh: :agree: I love to see new faces in this sport, and I think it is a waste of money to invite those big names for the program choreography in many cases, as it is a skater's personal capabilities more than anything else that determine the success of his career.
